Bromley (H) Tue November 26th, 7.45pm

Some right old misery about a draw against the leagues draw specialists.
Haven’t lost a game in all competitions since the Fleetwood debacle back at the start of October.
We’re still on target for 2 points per game and have the cup to look forward to at the weekend.

Bromley played in a style very similar to ours and managed to create the better chances. Their second goal was a blinding finish.

It’s probably good we have the cup next up to allow a few changes and then Sadler needs to refresh the team a bit. A couple of players, notably Barrett and Allen, while still not poor, have slipped from the standards they had earlier and we are not creating quite as many chances as we were. But, we are in a great position still, have a good squad and there is plenty to play for.

If I had to make one change, it would be McEntee for Okagbue but let’s remember we have 4 points from the last two games.

Bizarre? Not at all. Pompous response as usual. Just lacking the :joy::joy::joy: emojis

I have mentioned previously that i think Jellis is a huge ingredient. You cant have a chilli con carne without mince. If you do it with mince substitute it turns out shite.

Great point in the end. We will come up against hard to beat teams all season. Bromley are no pushovers and from the evidence of that performance will give loads of our promotion rivals a game.
The character of our team and the never say die attitude is something to be proud of, especially after the past few years .
A very enjoyable game.

Not saying Matt shouldn’t play at all and rough defenders up for a while but how DJ gets so few minutes when he’s such a better footballer and finisher is incredibly frustrating .

Weird and obsessive reply.

What a strange thing to comment on a post-match message board.

Don’t you mean jelly without custard surely

What a horrible and awkward side they were to play against. If you don’t win make sure you don’t lose it.Feels like a big equalising goal and keeps us 3 behind with that game in hand.

You mean proper old time League 2 team?

Horrible team to play against, so will happily take a point and move on.

Two responses make me obsessive :flushed:
Excuse me for having an opinion.

Cant win them all, going to have games we play not so good in, whats important is we dont lose those games and guess what we didnt. Ahead of these 2 games you’d have taken 4 points, we got 4 points, just backwards. Onwards we go

You literally replied to my post about having an opinion on the game ya salad :joy:

Christ.

Exactly this.
Looking at the table it seems to be stabilising and gaps opening: with the bottom three getting left behind and Vale, Us and Crewe starting to pull clear. Happy days.

He’ll be offering his grundies next if you’re not careful!

I’d try Weir against Charlton. Taylor Allen might need a rest.

Not Sadler’s fault that Earing and Hall didn’t produce the goods because Lakin and Jellis ran their socks off on Saturday (which is not ideal with the kitman suspended).

Still think that there’s room in this squad for Freddie Draper, to take over from Matt when he eventually retires. In fairness to Jamma, there’s nobody else in the squad that can do his role, right now.

Jellis celebrated as though he got the final touch, but from the replays it’s difficult to see

That was terrible and how Bromley have not got three points I will never know. They 100% thoroughly deserved 3 points.
Taylor Allen was terrible. Neither him nor Liam Gordon can cross a ball. Perhaps Taylor Allen puts in some lovely crosses in training? It has got to the stage where when we have a free kick or a corner there is no need to get excited because you know the cross will not clear the first man (although thank God the corner at the end was just enough to get us an equaliser). So many good opportunities during the game go to waste because of this.
I wonder if having Donovan Daniels back has unsettled Allen a little because he was poor in the first half v Wimbledon also. Certainly our defence looked so “last season” at times.
All players had an off day to say the least but at least we did not lose. We conceded 6 vs Fleetwood and tonight we could have conceded at least 4!
UP THE SADDLERS
