Stirk really was poor, even by his standards. So good to see that Saddler recognised that.
Comley is a class above.
Loan out in January, as we kick on.

Was getting worried that you might miss out on posting this, the thread is now complete.

Onto Charlton :soccer::+1:

Our fixtures really could hurt us over there next couple of weeks, the internationals really are a pain in the arse.

We even got unlucky last night, with Bromley fully rested from not playing Saturday.

Yet we’ve kept up the 2 points a game average over the last 2 games.

Have total belief in these lads.

UTS

We must be the only fanbase who moan about still being 2nd in the league whilst scraping a point despite playing cack.

I think there is a descriptor for it … rhymes with Pickle :slightly_smiling_face:

Spot on, the season Burton pipped us to 2nd place, they kept scoring late winners/equaliser’s when not playing well.

Very fair assssment.

Yep. Apparently Sadler needs a wake up call, Adomah is a waste of space, Allen and Gordon can’t cross, our set pieces are horrendous, Daniels shouldn’t be anywhere near the team, Hall and Earing aren’t up to scratch, Jamma doesn’t contribute anything and our style of play isn’t sustainable over a long period of time.

I can’t be bothered to quote them all directly, but have a scroll and you’ll find them.

Eh. Think it’s fair to point out whatever you think isn’t perfect with this side, I think everyone accepts that. You’ve amalgamated a series of posts there and presented it as one critique. Some of it I think is fair, some not :man_shrugging:

I heard some of our fans calling for our players to time waste when we were 1-0 up.

Whilst understandable, I don’t think this helped the players or the atmosphere in the ground, so i hope we as fans can focus on supporting the team rather than joining in the gamesmanship.

But look at the possession we had

Absolutely take that point and move on. Poor performance but a game we would of lost last season

For me Sadler got it wrong last night, then made it worse with the subs. In two minds what we do on Saturday in terms of rotation but agree with the consensus Harry Williams has to start over DD, I think Matt could probably do with a rest and culd be used more as an impact sub and Jellis needs to start alongside Stirk and one other (which can’t be Comley and Stirk together)

Whilst we did not… games against Wigan Crewe and Blackpool spring to mind :pensive:

Gordon can not cross a ball, his final ball lets him down. Fantastic goal btw.

Williams has been fantastic for us and I feel if it wasn’t for the fact that DD is club captain then Williams or McEntee would be starting. Great recovery tackle btw.

Hall is the seasons Stevens, coming here while being injured and not match fit and you can see it is stifling him. Will no doubt be a good player, but our fitter/healthier players are better options atm.

He’s not late, he’s posted his Charlton comment early. Why wait until Saturday?

Bromley came with a plan and stuck to it and unfortunately we never really got going, in fairness we’ve taken four points from the last two games which keeps us in a good position.
There were a few players on that pitch who looked tired and below par but we rescued a point which can only be a positive because we could so easily have lost that game.

Proper rough game of football. I thought the ref could have clamped down on it early with a few cards but overall he was not as poor as some we have had lately.

Hall struggled to get into the game and I thought Taylor had his worse game for a while and his crossing was off but he did swing in the late corner for the equalizer (i think).

Not sure what to do with the defence, Daniels does not inspire confidence in me and we were more secure with Williams in there. Hopefully he’ll try Williams and Mcentee on Saturday.
