Bromley (H) Tue November 26th, 7.45pm

I’m not sure about that at all, Earing is an exceptionally tidy football. Think it was just an off night.

we need to be able to change formations from 532 to 433/442 during the game to become less predictable

but do we have any wingers?

Aye, that’s the one.

The Scott Dann equaliser against Rochdale was after 3 successive defeats including an ignominious 3-0 midweek reversal at Stockport.

The wheels were in danger of falling off and there was much criticism of Dicky Dosh on this board at the time.

That Dann goal arguably changed everything.

Stirk is the weak link in our midfield. I don’t know how he is picked for every game

I think the ref deserves a bit of credit for actually letting players jostle for the ball, rather than giving a foul either way on every occasion. The only real complaint I have was with the time wasting. He never really clamped down on it when it was apparent what was going on in the first couple of minutes

This sort of thing will happen more regularly though so we need to get used to it if we’re going to be competing in the top half

Can I suggest the two of you start a Sell Ryan Stirk thread. which we can all ignore and which will save the rest of us having to read this nonsense.

I thought that too, I’ll take another look later. But as was said up-thread, if any part of the foot touches the line it’s legal, even if it’s just the heel. But its only legal if both feet are grounded something which was repeatedly missed last night.

Last three league games have not been easy on the eye, but the team has shown it can fight and isn’t a pushover. Hall and Earing didn’t do much to suggest they will be starting games again soon.

I like Earing a lot, but having read what Bromley are like, I was surprised to see him start. I don’t think that it was a game for him. Jellis showed, when he came on, why he should be one of the first on the team sheet. He makes a real difference.

Easier to pick us off if we have the ball and vice versa mate.

We make our own luck these days. Looking at it logically, don’t look at the table, if Bromley had had a better start they would be up there with us and Vale. They are the best team I’ve seen this season, totally fearless. We were ‘lucky’ if anything to get a point. Pleased with the way we kept going right to the very last minute of injury time…:+1:

Yeah, we played a little better once Jellis came on, more passing.

Final ball was still woeful though.

Yes there were definitely at least 3/4 who weren’t at the levels they have been, but that’s normal,it happens, can see a few changes Saturday just to freshen things up so we can get back to our normal aggressive pressing game for the very important game against county on Tuesday

See Man City at the moment…

Was that the one where from the second half kick-off he ran the length of the pitch and scored?

Last minute equaliser

Wasn’t it the other way round? We scraped the draw with a sensational goal by Dann and then lost the next three? Then we bounced back and had a good run until seasons end.

Be interesting to see how many of the fan’s wives Dave Okagbue has been through this morning after plenty behind the goal were singing that he could sh*g them.
