Carlisle Utd (A) Tuesday March 4th, 7.45pm

Oh yes, I was there. The very worst.

I think with a few key changes, we can get back to what we were doing well - and go for them.

Williams to come in, Barrett dropped for Alb or Asiimwe, Lakin in for Comley, and I think there is an argument for Levi for Matt (looks knackered and ineffective too). By the way, I am not endorsing Levi here, I am just going with what Sadler could do… rather than what I would do. DJ to start against these all day long for me - we need a goal threat.

Sadler also needs to find a way of playing to make DJ effective.
Do that and our ticket to get over the line might just be hiding in plane sight.

0-0, but hope it’s 0-1 as we need to make up for Saturday’s loss.

Waiting for Tuesday for the “I’ve got a bad feeling about this one “ posts

What we need is to give them an absolute pasting. It coukd get us on the right track. A solid 0-3 with 25 shots will get us back in the zone.

For me, other than Barrat, its all about the confidence of the team and not playing a double pivot against the bottom of the league.

I’ll just be happy to have a game where the opposition fans don’t sing the “having a laugh” song.

We were quiet yesterday. Those two late goals at Cheltenham and news of Bradford’s late winner drained the life out of us.

This game has the feel of frustration written all over it. I’ve no doubt we’ll start positively, but Carlisle will be buoyed by their win against Barrow. If they score first, we will lose. You may need a few post match drinks to numb the pain!

For me, generally looking to see the best, our bubbles has burst. I think we will lose and that our bubble has burst. Losing Lowe has proved more costly than I thought but I think the main reason is that we have not been able to maintain our high-pressing game.

Losing will mean the peloton has caught us.

The start of a very important last 12 games. We’re 15th over the last 10 games with 12 points. Same form over the next 10 and we go into the last 2 games with 79 points and probably needing at least a win and a draw to go up. Time to get back to it starting at Carlisle. We only have to improve slightly to still go up you’d think.

They’ve just keep two clean sheets so that’s the bounce from getting Mark Hughes in.

Will be low scoring but time for a very hard 1-0 away as it’s been a while.

Even though DJ is probably the most peed off of the whole squad being given the least amount of minutes to try and dig us out of a hole again and again.

Think if we are chasing after a goal to either save a point or get all 3 he should be given more time to get up to the pace with the games.

Not wanting to point fingers but I think quite a few of us now have seen Barrett failing to chase back when he’s lost the ball, I know it can be interpreted two ways, either lost interest, or just knackered, I would think/hope it is the latter. Either way maybe it’s time to try someone else at RWB to give him a break and hopefully recharge his batteries.

We look very much like our old selves atm imho with hopeful long punts up field hoping someone will get on the end of it, we certainly don’t look like the unbeatable top of the league side of a few weeks back that’s for sure.

I 100% think we should be giving DJ more time on the field, not necessarily the full game, but most definitely more than MS is giving him to try and get a result.

It simply won’t make any difference. DJ is no longer motivated to push himself, and he’s aware he’s not rated by Sadler.
He’s not the answer I’m sorry to say.

Just can’t see us winning this.

That’s not completely true if you watch him closely, he’s so peed off if he isn’t passed to in the area if he thinks he’s got a sniff on goal.

The lad wants to score goals that’s what drives him, whether that is now just to get another clubs attention, or just to be picked by MS, HE WANTS TO SCORE watch his reaction when he doesn’t get the pass in the box.

We need to find a different system if we’ve been found out somewhat by the opposition. We need to turn the tables and give the opposition different things to worry about. A system change could do that… . I don’t see us doing it though. If we persist what’s got us where we are then we need to freshen the team a little. Maybe Nathan at WB, bring H back, Charlie back in, Might be a time to bring DJ back in from the start annd get one if not more of the loan lads onto the bench

We won’t deserve promotion, losing v bottom teams. Crying out for a 0-1 victory. Grinding out a result.

Whats happened to Rico Browne thought he was pushing hard and close to getting game time perhaps if Barratt needs resting then surely he should be the obvious choice

Have seen dig deep and find something so many times when needed this season. I believe in this team and say this will be a 1 or 2 nil to us.

I have to disagree NortonRob - DJ is a proven goal scorer and he definitely gives us something up front the others don’t…

He’s a major threat against any defence - his problem is is he doesn’t get game time

What will it take for MS to realise he has a bigger role to play? Jamma looked totally knackered when he came off yesterday so maybe DJ will get a chance in Carlisle
