Carlisle Utd (A) Tuesday March 4th, 7.45pm

The opposition throw on 4 pairs of fresh legs, we do a like for like and wait till the 89th minute to make another.
To me that says Sadler doesn’t fancy anyone on the bench to come on and change the game, I’d say as a manager then he has to take some responsibility as that has to be a poorly unbalanced assembled squad.
Matt was knackered before the HT whistle, Albert offered nothing, we kept getting the ball to Barrett to cross the ball but when looking up to see his strikers found them anywhere but in the box.
We could have won it with better finishing but nearly lost it in the last seconds, it really is an hard watch and well done the brave souls who have made the 300 mile round trip on a Tuesday night.

Just listening to that prat he says the mind play’s tricks on you, he probably thought when he bought DJ on it was half time.

Can someone drop him off on the way home.

Is he high?

Just watched his post match comments.
Perhaps he thinks only the 300 who travelled saw that display. If I had gone I would have been seething at the manager and his lack of nous.
He is telling us that was an excellent performance and he is extremely proud.
In my opinion he needs to give his head a wobble because we can all see the flaws that have been obvious for weeks and it seems the only person who can’t see that is him!

I think Saturday is a must win.

On current form losing at Bromley as they’ve just turned over Donny and not a great match up with their physicality as shown at Bescot when they were seconds away from winning.

Gills game surely will be called off so that will probably be placed right at the end of the season so then it’s a huge 7 days. Five points and no bother but something like 1-2 points and the comfortable buffer to 4th could quickly disappear as much as the one to 2nd has over last six weeks.

I think with the two week break it makes sense to have a team bonding trip somewhere just to refresh and chat. Think Sadler needs that from Waddock to remind him he can actually use players off the bench when the starters can hardly run after an hour! And some of the loanees actually still exist.

Some of the comments on here are to me a little odd( I am being kind) but here we are top of the table , 10 points clear of 4th place and with a good set of players for this level.MS is not perfect and as I said earlier I would have brought DJ on at HT but we did play well in the second half and with a bit of luck (Lakin’s great shot against the post for example) we would have won. It is important we stay behind the team (including the staff) over the run in which will be tough.

Article based on a Wigan fan being asked who he’d want as manager.

Any fan actually wanting him gone, honestly, i have no words.

Well done Simkin tonight - I am not his biggest fan at all but he was excellent.
Stirk - great pass for the goal but is there no one in the squad who can contribute more over the course of the game?
Why did our defender (Okagbue?) let the ball bounce before heading it which led to their corner for the goal. I was taught never to let the ball bounce when I was 10 years old. This was a game we might have won but my goodness we most definitely could have lost it!
The draw at Cheltenham was 100% on Sadler and tonight I am also pointing the finger at him. It was a game crying out for dj but to bring him on with a minute left is an insult. Why 2 big men upfront and hitting hopeful balls to them. This is a waste of time when dj would have provided the classic big guy and small guy formation.
What has happened to Barrett? He used to tear apart fullbacks and cross a ball 4 or 5 times a game. Now we are lucky if he does it once.
Levi is not the answer - and to think Sadler was after this guy for a while. The mind boggles as to what he saw.
I hope there is no more talk about Sadler being a young manager and learning his trade etc. Don’t forget:

  1. he was a pro footballer so should understand the game
  2. his errors are picked up by so many of us on here who have never played pro football or got coaching badges.
If we blow it then it will be our own fault. I am trying to stay positive but it aint easy. Lets see more of dj and something of Weir in the next game.

Not bloody ten points, more likely seven points if Port Vale win two games in hand. Not ten.

In all the doom and gloom with players missing sitters and 50p head Dave doing his best can i mention the ref. One of the better ones and i think he booked more of theirs which must be a first. Itchyorscratchi whatever is in Yaw territory

I would rather have points than games in hand.

Where would you play Weir? He is a good player but Allen is too…

Has barely put a foot wrong all season, how people don’t rate him I’ll never know.

As SadlerHQ said above, unless we win on Saturday or at Bromley, by the end of the international break, that gap could leave teams within touching distance of us.

I mean, we could go and win the next two and we can all breathe a sigh of relief, but it is closer than it appears with our current form.

He will be a fresh face and his passing is excellent both cross field and into the box (e.g. his pass to Lowe for the winner at Notts County). Even bring him on as a sub for anyone who is not playing well in a particular game either one of the back 3 or even one of the midfielders. We gotta try something?

He is a good player but LCB is his best position by far. You could move Allen to LWB or into midfield to accommodate him but both Gordon and Lakin are good players at this level. I agree he could be used more as a substitute and maybe moving Allen into midfield when chasing a game is not a bad idea.
