Charlton Athletic (H) F A Cup 2nd round, Nov 30th 3pm

I agree. I really want to win today

But I really want to beat Notts and Port Vale too.

Come on saddlers make my wishes come true.

Absolutely no reason we can’t have it all. If we get beaten by a better team, so be it, but there’s no reason we can’t be that better team.

UTS!

I try to think about each game based on its own merit. I get that we have a busy time coming up, but bowing out without a whimper today won’t change anything for the better.

Momentum is a big thing in football, so a win today could have a positive effect. I expect some changes but we won’t go too weak I wouldn’t have thought. As you said, a great effort with the ticket sales, be a bit disrespectful not to give it our best shot. Who doesn’t love the 3rd round draw? Even if it isn’t kind to us as a rule.

It is so exciting being given a day pass to do man stuff. I wasnt sure what to do so decided to catch a bus and go to Spoons.

Much more exciting than driving to the game.

Im also encountering a few people who clearly are oddballs :joy:

I don’t understand how any supposed Walsall fan can say they are not bothered whether we win or lose any cup game. How can any true fan ever say such a thing?

I am looking forward to this game more than on a normal Saturday and would love us to have another memorable cup run to the fifth round this season.

Walsall and cup football just go together, for me it’s what makes supporting WFC special. Who cares if we lost to Scunthorpe or Oldham on the rainy Tuesday night , it’s the games in the cup that have been very very special over the years and in recent years few and far between.

So give me a 2-1 victory any day of the week , put WFC in the bag for the third round draw and the cup will provide it’s own magic.

Exactly how i feel. Some of my best memories are bound up in all our famous giant killing cup victories going back to seeing us beat man u as a 10 year old in 1975. Appreciate the FA cup.has been shamefully devalued in recent years- but its still a fantastic opportunity to generate excitement and interest and get new fans through the turnstiles.

Was at both matches on the 62/63 season. We owe them a good hiding for the way they kicked us off the park in the one that ended our 2nd division time. Nowadays they wouldn’t get away with there dirty tackle s Broken leg for centre forward and goalkeeper injury meant relegation so a nice win today is what we deserve. UTS

Unfortunately I think DJ will only be a bit part player, which is a shame

Cleary gone in January then

Glad to see both Williams and Mcentee back in as that’s my preferred defensive line up, let’s see how they go. Fingers crossed.

An extra 2 on the bench but no Cleary.
