This was certainly true at times tonight and in those last few mins we should have been a bit more savvy about keeping the ball and using the pitch so the game was in their half as much as possible.
A massive shame to not win from the position we were in, but they’ll know that themselves. Hopefully lessons learned and we go and get 3 points on saturday.
He covers alot of european football, very good commentator.
So it wasn’t fantastic then? It was a bit crap. Got it.
Which is what I said.
Sorry, my bad, forgot it was fantastic.
I love this team and what they have done this season but kerping the ball has never been our method this season. Thought they gave it way cheaply all night. Cheltenham just never capitalised. We didn’t create much ourselves tonight. 2 errors for our goals and 2 fortunate breaks for theirs. We move on and a point on the road despite the context of tonights game is never a bad thing. But I am concerned both by our form and the run the other teams are on.
Grow up.
To be fair, 3 points on Saturday = 10 from the last 4 games. Appreciate tonight is disappointing but that points rate if achieved sees us over the line if maintained?
Just saying.
Didn’t think this team had a cave in in their locker.
At least we picked up a point and hopefully learn from this for the run in.
Remember when Carlisle did this to us in our promotion season early nineties but on that occasion we lost. But after that game Nicholl made sure we kept it tight last ten minutes hence the draw at Bury. They WILL learn from this.
Why does it seem the chasing pack are getting stronger by the week hope the season is just not 5 games too long.
We’ll just have to see
I’d expect a composed interview from Sadler tonight but underneath it all he must be fuming.
Grow up yourself. Getting upset over a supporter saying being 2 nil up in injury and still drawing is a bit shite.
I can guarantee the manager and the players won’t be tickling each others bollocks after that. Winning mentality - we should be winning that game. Pure and simple.
On to the next one.
Precisely.
Now, was that a point gained or two lost?
Don’t answer that - it is an attempt at levity by me as I am feeling really pissed off like after a defeat. Those were two poor goals by a team who were, despite their attempts on goal, very ineffective, powder puff really, and never really looked like they could score.
Those two points could be very, very important unless we can pick up from this.
Still chuffed with the season of course but I would have been oh, so pleased and confident if we had gone 9 clear of Bradford.
Tonight’s glass half full and half empty.
Ref was one of the worst we’ve had all season and thats saying something and whoever thinks Levi’s the answer give ya head a wobble ive seen nothing in him that says he’s good enough
The one where Okagbue shielded it out of play, to then give them a corner was unbelievable
No you didn’t Thanny, you said the team “bottled it”
Yes it was, the last 3 minutes was gutting. And we all felt it, but nobody apart from you is digging the team out for being “bottlers”. So here’s my advice, not for the first time, go to bed Thanny…and take my ever more forlorn hope that the wisdom and understanding fairy visits you in the night…you know a bit like scrooge and that sort of thing.
Nah. I don’t take advice from a bloke with the critical thinking skills of a pre school child.
Here’s some advice though, develop a winning mentality. They threw that away tonight, the manager will be pissed off, as will the players be. They’re professionals and they’re professionals because they have a winning mentality.
I didn’t say they were bottlers - I said they ‘bottled it there’. In those few minutes - which they did.
A good performance tonight but unfortunately 2 points dropped.
Jamma was mauled all game and got nothing h from the ref.
I’d have taken a point before the game but Cheltenham got thel luck in the box during that last 4 mins. Ball fell to miller for the first and deflected second though marking should have been better.
Let’s not be too downhearted. Was a great atmosphere too. UTS.
I agree Jellis was tired out. It was his poor attempt at a header that cost us the second goal. No one bottled anything but the Manager should have introduced some fresh legs for the last 15 minutes. Lakin for Jellis and possibly Weir for Gordon would have been my decisions but MS has done well this year and we all make mistakes.
how stupid does this sound when you read it back in your head?
About as stupid as your post.
