What he said

It’s a fairly big ‘if’ but IF we exclude the blip we don’t have a problem on ‘current’ form.

We all know though we are not the team we were with Lowe and Jamma - the evidence is there in the results since we lost him.

We almost certainly have enough to get over the line. It feels horrible and nervy. But I said last week 7 points from 9 was fine so a win Saturday and we’ve bsck on it, we’ve hit the magic 70 with 12 to go and 12 ish more points (maybe 14) needed. Easy.

The pressure point is Saturday and it’s psychologically huge for the team - and us poor supporters!! A win and we can relax. A bit.

My head says it’s fine.
My gut says it may not be
It almost certainly will be

Good post.

Your summary at the end is pretty much where I am at.

It is horrible being a football fan sometimes.

Can we win these games:

Swindon (H)
Grimsby (H)
Harrogate (H)
Accrington (H)

They are the “big 4” games for me. If we can, i’d say we need another 4 points for promotion (83) or another 10 points (89) for the title.

Throw in games we should be winning or at least taking a point from, such as:

Carlisle (A)
Gillingham (Basket Case club) (A)
Newport (A)
Barrow (A)

I’d back us to pick up 3 points at least (even if its 3 draws) from the mad week we have against Donny, Vale and Wimbledon.

That is firmly at the point the chasing teams will all be taking points off each other aswell.

Now i’ve kipped on it, a point wasnt so bad last night - the manner it happened is a different matter coupled with the late Bradford goal. But we move on.

Promotion to acheive and a title to be won.

Me babbies

Me too - the closer we get to the finish line, the more nervous I am!

TBF due to Cheltenham home form recently I would have took a point pre game, but having been two up I was gutted last night. But in truth if we had been two down and it ended 2-2 I would have been estastic but either way we would have a point only
These games do highlight two points to me, firstly the importance of DD or the Priest been on the bench bringing on that experienced defensive head would have been the difference. Also the absence of Jamma on the pitch at the end was also a big miss defensively but we needed to save his legs for Saturday

Agree with almost all of that. Both of their goals had more than a sliver of luck about them - highly favourable deflections for both after we had looked more or less in control for the whole game (the Sky commentators kept saying so as well). Mind you, they gifted us one as well: and we should have done better with some very good in-the-six-yard-box chances we had. Frankly, I thought they were pretty ineffectual until that fateful last 3 minutes. I was sooo gutted. Bloody ruined my evening.

It was a shame the chances from our lovely corners fell to Barrett who is desperate to score this season. Anyone else I think might have had a bigger lead.

Oh, Welshie! You were just 3 minutes from a perfect prediction  to complement your usual masterful preview.
If only…
But we are still top by a very decent margin - 99% of EFL teams would sell their grannies to be in our position in their respective leagues. Let’s just enjoy this wonderful season.

It would be very much like Walsall to lose some of those games you’ve highlighted and then go an win the three games against Donnie, Vale and Wimbledon
Did Fitz and Hall join later in the second Graydon promotion I think they did.
I agree with you that our midfielders are all a similar size and stature. In the summer, I hope that we can release some of our injured centre halves and use the budget wisely to get in a midfielder of a similar stature to Oisin, so that he can remain in defence in most games.

Evidence to suggest that one size doesn’t ‘Fitz Hall’…

I’ll get one in for you shall I @BillyBescot :eyes::joy:

Always brother! :beers:

Hope you’re not saying we’ve shot our bolt to early …

Lol, hadn’t realised I’d missed “on” out that rally cry.

But if we see this through to a happy ending could prove to be more appropriate than what I meant to say.
