That team lacks any real quality unfortunately , fingers crossed for the new gaffer though.
The only problem with that is that he has no pace and isn’t a right winger

That’s a very good point. I didn’t realise his assist record was the second best in our squad and he doesn’t even get selected every week.

BD’s first game in charge so let’s hope it doesn’t fall flat and make him look like a tosser.

two very important points seen as he’s playing there tonight I’m just saying that he’s better going forward than defending but him having played at right back in the past may mean he’ll at least track back and help out.
The last time we got promoted from this division, we played a left back on the left side of midfield.

442 with white and Norman is ridiculous. I would honestly sack him before a ball been kicked
. I ain’t a big fan of wing backs but I’d much rather that than 442 with that line up
That’s what I was hoping and picturing when I first saw the line up! But, it may have been wishful thinking.
Talking of that, here’s a song which maybe BD is singing in memory of his bezzie! Lyrics are quite apt!!
I defy you all not to be singing along and think of good ol’ bighead!!
Pitch looks like a mudfest in the middle.
Should be fun on the back passes too
Norman can fill in at RM, no probs.
Norman has actually played quite a few games for us on the right wing - even before DC arrived. So it’s not like he’ll be coming in cold to do a job there tonight.
But yes it does look like it’s a more defensively minded starting XI than many were hoping for. Let’s see how long he waits before he starts tinkering with it if it’s not working out as he expects.
Being fair to BD, he hasn’t had much time for tonight, I’ll start judging him properly from the weekend onwards, unless we win 5-0 tonight
Looking back to the game at their place, we actually made a fairly good fist of it first half and could have gone in at least 1 up. It all went Pete Tong in the second half as we didn’t get going (our usual of only being able to play decent for onw 45 minute period out of the 90) and then they had the OG and lucky bounce.
No reason to believe we can’t get a better result this time.
LAVERY !!! Flapatit Roberts as well, who will gift them their first goal. Typical DC team, set up to defend, hopeless choice of players who will sit in our own pelanty area the whole match trying to keep the score down.
4-1-4-1 with Norman as the CDM
Or perhaps 4-1-3-2 depending on where Gordon is
Norman Centre mid, curve ball.
Must have been written into the contract that we had to play the same team as DC did for the rest of the season
Goal!!!
Lavery!!!
First surprise from the new man. Let’s hope the result is.
