I’m guessing it’s some of the players allocation? Not sure which player Milan would still be mates with though given he last played here in 2016.
Wonder if it’s a co-incidence the team are winning again to nil with a full week to prepare for games after the endless three games a week of the last two months.
It should be clear to any manager just playing the same 11 largely every 3-4 days hits its limit by the seventh month of the season but so many at all levels just don’t want to rotate much.
On the evidence of today that mindset cost this club automatic promotion and arguably the title.
Walsall turned up today and played like they did before Xmas.
Everyone did their job with top performances all over the pitch.
The only negative for me was seeing jamma in obvious discomfort when he ought to have been taken off fifteen minutes earlier.
It’s only job half done and we need a full house Friday in order to help the team over the line.
It was fantastic being in that brilliant atmosphere today and I’m chomping at the bit for part two.
He obviously wasn’t at the Swindon, Grimsby, Harrogate and Accrington home games - he would have been pssed off if he was a fan watching those inept performances! But, we have the chance to really get behind the team on Friday and ram home our advantage! UTS.
You are right in that we were not as bad as the crap run made us look but neither were we as good as the great run made us look. We are now 2-0 at HT in a cup semi final. Victory is not certain by any means but we have a great chance. UTS
Wise words. You are right, of course. We nicked some points in that great run (Nutts Co away springs to mind) but I do believe that we just about deserve to go up this season.
Why am I divisive?! haven’t been mouthing off on here about how sht Sadler is, how he has lost the dressing room etc..This is the divisive crap, not people like me who just want to get behind the team and head coach and see us win. Sadler’s made mistakes, yes, but he’s also done a lot of good stuff too. See you Friday night!
Got to say I am so bloody proud. Every single one of them ran their absolute bollocks off and then some today. So much fight and spirit. Simkin is someone I have given a lot of criticism to - but since he was dropped he has come back a man possessed, it did the world of good for him. MOTM today for me.
Credit to every single player, coaching staff and fan today. What an unreal experience. Let’s have no shenanigans and a simple boring 0-0 Friday please - let’s not do a Walsall.
Great result, not sure many of us would have seen that coming. Many pundits waxing lyrical about Chesterfield putting them as favourites, just shows how mad this league has been.
Chuffed for Simkin, think he got a lot of stick from this game in the season if my memory serves me right. Great way to put things right.
Next goal in the tie is massive, I hope we look to get it first rather than just protect what we have.
Of course you are. The last few months have saddened me more than anything else. I feel that MS is very much on borrowed time if we don’t go up but the vitriol and hatred I have seen on here towards him has made me wonder about some of my fellow fans. A lot of the draws we had could easily have been victories with better finishing but then we lost probably the best player in the league in January.
MS made a good comment in his pre match interview . The league is over…that is gone and we are now in a new competition. I agree with that and certainly the players believed by their performance today. We now have to win this new competition and I think we can. It won’t be easy but if we play as we did today we can do it.
Your digging at fans for having an opinion on a football forum, then proclaiming your right to have an opinion on a football forum, sound a bit backwards to me
