It’s a sellout:
Fantastic support
Yeah I’ll be there with my daugter so at least 3 of us lol
In the away end, but they probably won’t fill every seat in the stadium (according to Chesterfield’s OS their match capacity is 10,226 - out of around 10,600 seats in total - and their highest gate so far this season was 9,325) so may well be a few reds sprinkled amongst the blues?
They were doing on occasion last season.
They will be playing, errr…a top team!
Fantastic news (in a way!) How many did we get in the allocation?
I was hoping to make it along then realised it was the weekend my stepdaughter goes back to uni, so was working out how to handle that one (!) but luckily, it has become academic and that is one battle I can avoid!
From memory I think it was 962 if not it was something very close to that.
Cracking support once again then! I wonder why they couldn’t offer us any more, especially if they knew there could be a lot of interest and they wouldn’t sell out themselves?!
Pun intended?
Ha ha, no, not intended!! Well spotted!
Is anyone going on the train to Chesterfield?
Just looking on Trainline for times and prices from either Walsall or Lichfield and it shows everything is sold out.
Is that because the lines are closed for repairs?
Are there degrees of academic punnery?
More BS(c) from you?
Fine from Birmingham or Tamworth, can get direct trains to Chesterfield.
He’s a Master
First class!
Not for 5th October. As @dajwmyson says, all trains to Chesterfield coming up as “Sold Out” - that’s on National Rail, Trainline, EMR and CrossCountry (the local operators), and other sites. All OK on the Friday and Sunday, just not the Saturday.
Can’t see any announcement of engineering work or other reason why you can’t get a train to (or from) Chesterfid that day.
Bought mine yesterday, Birmingham to Chesterfield direct.
Now saying they’re all sold out, so good timing
Cross Country Trains seem to be having staffing problems and have issued a temporary timetable up to Mid October ‘to give customers more certainty and reduce the number of cancellations’. I wonder if this has something to do with the issue? The revised timetable for 5th October shows plenty of direct trains to Chesterfield and others requiring a change at Derby onto East Midlands Trains services which are showing prices for their leg.
[EDIT: Trains for this Saturday are showing availability - I suspect that once running is confirmed the prices will show up.
BTW - The Trainline charge a booking fee and on occasions when there is disruption, passengers have found difficulty in getting refunds. Always book directly with the train operator]
