There was a load of them singing derogatory Walsall songs going to the game. For example, “Poundland away, Ole, Ole” Which I thought was quite funny really. My lads on the way out we’re singing “No points away, Ole, Ole” Which I did tell them to pack in cos it was a bit rowdy around the train station, but it did have me in stitches!
I found a worse set of fans though, a load of Villa fans on the train. My oldest lad was a bit over excited with the game, and it triggered his stutter a bit when he was trying to talk to me about the match. A few Villa fans thought it was funny to mock him and take the piss, they weren’t kids either. I wasn’t happy at all, my youngest lad, cool as you like " I didn’t know this train went to 1982" which got a big laugh and a bit of a round of applause. Neither one of them usually says boo to a goose, they are smiling tonight, and so am I, the sense of relief is huge.
I mean the first half did end when it was about 50ish minute… But I didn’t think it had started the extra time bit as no board went up.
Ref seemed pretty good seeing as he was only a part time assistant… Why couldn’t the original ref just direct swap with the 4th official, it wasn’t like he broke his leg, he was fully weight bearing, clear soft tissue injury… Utter woke nonsense ↔
