Going back to the game, Sadler implied afterwards that Williams’ injury looked bad and that Flash was probably out for the duration.
With 3 centre backs out, we are lucky to have the back up of McEntee, Okagbue, Allen, Weir and Browne, who looked OK the little we have seen of him.

I think a problem at the moment is that, with the bad pitches, Sadler cannot afford to risk the young loanees, but we do have lots of cover. We can put out 3 front pairs of forwards.
That win against Bury was well deserved.Bennett’s winner came in time added on for Bury’s time wasting .Of course in those days we had no way of knowing how much time was being added but the referee that day did us proud!!!
In my 60 years of supporting the saddlers I’ve never missed a kick off or left before the final whistle.

Exactly my feeling too, the first goal was sheer relief. It was almost tangible, you could feel the weight lift around the ground. The second goal, coming so quickly, felt like normality had been resumed. You could almost hear it click into place. And I said the same to my pal, that’s a season-defining second-half performance.
