Does anyone know if the Locker is open after the game? And if so what time until?

I might squeeze in for a pint after the game, if we can do it.

Yeah, the closer it gets the more nervous I am.

Even if it was 0-0 and they scored with 5 mins left, I’d be shittin bricks.

We have only won 1 out of last 9 at home and that was against Chesterfield. Since then we’ve lost 3 out of 6 to Swindon, Grimsby and Accrington. Our home form is poor and the ‘new’ formation is better suited to playing away.

Let’s not get too carried away. Quit the Wembley talk and concentrate on Friday.

After some early morning seat counting and taking into account two large blocks being used for segregation either side of the visiting allocation of 1,116, I reckon the capacity is around 9,800 overall for Friday.

Current numbers in the home areas (going on the map) is around 8k, so approx 700 to go.

It will sell out.

Hes anti Walsall and wants to hex it

Very peculiar this wembley talk

This fanbase never learns

One word: Cheltenham! I am still nervous about Friday. Would I prefer to be 2-0 up than 2-0 down: certainly. But, after this season, I will never be confident again about our chances. 60 years of (mainly) hurt have been crystallised by this season’s “Walsallesque failure”. If Chesterfield score early on Friday night, I think I might need resuscitation! I hope we start positively and don’t sit back, inviting the inevitable.

I think most of us are aware of the dangers.

We can hope and dream though, sometimes that is all you have got as a Walsall fan.

Yeah, that’s the player’s job, not ours. They have let us down, it is up to them to put it right.

Yeah came to play in the 2nd half of extra time.

I think you need to have a look at Wembley followings from previous years.

Gonna Buck the trend on here and talk about Fridays game ! I have absolutely no doubt that when the players cross the line they will know what is at stake and will give their all. This said I think we will see a natural tendency to sit back a little a take fewer risks than if the tie was still level, looking to try and get as deep into the first 45 without conceding as is possible and that will inevitably make it more of a tense and nervy affair than it was on Sunday. The opposition will have the reverse approach to go hell for leather to get that early goal, rebuild their own belief and challenge The Saddlers resolve. IMO will still have to slay the ghost of the “regular season meltdown” and it will need us to get to Wembley to do that. My hope is that we will be aggressive and go for a tie killing 3rd goal but I fully expect Sadler’s approach to be defensive and see out the early pressure which will be hellish for the supporters. Team selection MUST be similar to Sunday, assuming Jamma and Chang are fit to start, as I feel that this game should also be seen as a “must win” and we should set up accordingly. I would give Jamma no more than 45 mins as he simply dies on his feet after 35/40 mins but we need our talisman there to drive us on. The midfield box of Chang, Stirk, Jellis and Hall is something of a revelation and seems to bring the best out of each individual. The back 3/5 picks itself. The bonus we do have at our disposal is “our twelfth man” being at home with what will be a sell out crowd, so we have a part to play particularly in the early stages and again should we go behind on the night at any point. I have been personally critical at points in the season, sometimes during a game, which with hindsight is accepted as unhelpful but what I and many thousands of regulars have never lost this season is the passion for our club and our burning desire for some success. We have an opportunity to salvage something very special from the post January wreckage and I for one will head to Bescot with one aim only to roar this team on to the next stage… COYS

The state of Jamma when he came off on Sunday, I don’t see how he can possibly be ready. I am 99% sure he will start though.

I’m no Josh Gordon fan, but I feel he would be a better option than Jamma as the lone striker. At least he can close down and cause a nuisance. I don’t say that lightly, I have been very clear that I don’t think JG is good enough, but Jamma looks like he can barely walk anymore.

how hot it was on Sunday you can forgive him for being totally out of it. I was seeing stars and I was only standing there watching it :joy:. He’ll deffo start but Sadler needs to be quicker replacing him.

I’m not blaming him at all.

It wasn’t just fatigue, though, he literally hobbled off the pitch.
