Chesterfield (H) - Play-off 2nd Leg, Friday 16th May, 8pm

Maybe, anyone over 10,000 isn’t really a Walsall fan anyway. I’d rather take 10,000 and have no Villa and Dingles tagging along. Especially after the nonsense with Villa fans last time we went.

It would be really embarrassing.

The Bristol City game was a bit of a novelty as it was our first visit to Wembley. Reading was a league above where we are now and we had only just come down from the second tier. This is L2.
Looking at the ticket prices, plus travel etc, and the fact that it’s BH Monday, I’m not sure that we would sell almost 3 times our average home attendance tbh.
Would be delighted if we did.

Yeah, the Millennium was miles better. Winning helped a lot, I guess. Completely out numbered by Reading and they really thought they were going to beat us.

Wembley was horrible last time, we sat in a block surrounded by Villa fans. Taking the piss when we were losing and again outside. I don’t get angry easily but it was boiling my piss. Fortunately I was with my wife, step kids and our James who was about 4 at the time, so I kept my calm.

Again though, I’m not sure you can ever really enjoy it if you lose. I wasn’t that gutted after that game but it would be heartbreaking to lose the playoff final.

Attendances were absolutely crap 25 yrs ago. Seen walsall in League 1 at the Bescot with 3k. Quite often less than 3k

Not sure what your expecting re ticket prices. 27 pound is the cheapest and they are still a brilliant view

15k would be mega disappointing

The railway club have provisionally booked a min of 10 coaches with more on the way if required !!!. I think they should stand st least 5 down based on your prediction

Not at all. Mansfield and Vale sold a very similar number for their play-off final and both have had better attendances than us in League Two in recent years.

Would also be more than Crewe managed last season too.

Never a bigger reason then not to hold it at Wembley !!!. It would be dreadful with 2 thirds of the stadium empty

There is only 52 on a coach, I’m sure we will take more than 520. ISSA has over a 1000 members.

Thought I read that they were around 50 quid.

I think the cheapest was £34, up to £86 or something like that. That was last years prices though, probably go up.

I’m not sure what the better seats are, I’ve been to Wembley loads of times and been in different parts of the ground. The top tier was awful, you could hardly see the players.

No. Not at all. Upwards from 27 pounds. And those are absoluely fine.

So its not the hugely expensive day out you say it is. They might even do some subsidised Travel. Who knows

So if you consider tickets less than 30 with cheap travel. Then less than 15k would be totally shit

Like you been loads of times. I think the view from the top teir is amazing

Not expensive?

Me and my wife + 2 boys. Minimum of £130 for travel. Tickets say £100+. That is before we have bought a drink or food. Be looking at £300 minimum. Probably £500 if we win!

Edit

And let’s not forget how much we have spent following them all season. It is not cheap anymore, it has been a real struggle for us and we have had to make some big sacrifices to be able to do it.

You got a great view of the game, it was just a bit far away for me. Players looked tiny.

Yes really Tiny but i hate being low down. The higher the better for me so i can see the formations etc

Hopefully we will see

Out of interest, what do you think would be a realistic following?

Breaking 20k would be decent. 22k. Very good

Lets hope we dont do a Sunderland on Friday, if i were a fan I would be furious.

Set out to defend a 1 goal advantage, and have never entertained the idea of attacking.

Now cov have equalised Sunderland have no clue how to get foward.

Main stand completely sold out now. Less than 1,000 ticket’s.

I am in Spain the bank holiday weekend. Will be looking to see if I can get back for the day for the match, heading back to Spain to finish the (short) holiday. Will cost me a fortune, but if I can make it work I’ll do it.
