Colchester (H) - League Two - Sat 28 September, 12.30pm

From our point of view, our first goal was a boster. Had we conceded it, I imagine that the two defenders involved would have been given grief for allowing it to happen.

I admit we did ride our luck in the 1st half, Colchester could have easily scored a couple
of goals which would have changed the game completely. Thankfully that didn’t happen and they ended up chasing the game and not us!
We were just superb at the back, all three defenders must have been extremely sore after the match because they literally put their bodies on the line for the club.
When all players give 100% you get results like we did on Saturday.
There’s just a fantastic “togetherness” around the club, every one is on the same page, everyone gets it.
I hope I’m writing the same thing at Christmas.

Great first goal! It was ace to see what a team we had in 2013 as well!
Mind you, less said about the state of the pitch, the better!!

Possibly. MS doesn’t seem to think that is the reason though.

I love this footage. It really shows the anatomy of the goal. As soon as TA puts the ball down, you see Jellis catch his eye and then start sprinting. He had about 3 men in front of him when the ball the ball was played but was a yard clear when he got it. This was clearly a rehearsed move of a quality well above League 2.

Thank you for posting.
