Crewe Alexandra (A) May 3rd, 3pm

I was banking on a couple of home wins, on paper these looked very reasonable … on paper. :melting_face:That would have been enough. The form of the other teams was awful, but little did we know ours would be worse.

We follow it through to the end now - who knows!! :upside_down_face: :star_struck:

Right so I’m hoping the stars align but the best predictor of the future is the past so a draw for us Bradford win and we go play offs. I would not dismiss our play off chances I’d say 30% because we have consistently played better against those teams.

I’m finally starting to get over how we’ve blown our incredible lead and I’m glad we are in the mix. I know it was unhelpful for the club to imply we should be grateful but actualky on reflection that fact we might just might do this is the best situation in a decade.

I still feel sick.

Don’t lump on.

I know someone who lumped on at the start of the season.

They could have cashed out in January for around £800, but left it in to win around £930 I think he said it was.

Should have lumped out.

Andy is like a tennis player that’s come back from injury to soon .needs to walk to the net shake hands and retire injured .come back when recuperated and a fully fit Andy .I must admit though I do like to see him play .

Don’t think I have travelled to a game of such potential importance feeling so flat. No anxious anticipation. I’m sure I will perk up when we kick off hopefully.

“35 % bad luck” is one of the more interesting UTS takes over the years.

Luck tends to even itself out over 46 league games. If indeed we’ve had 35% bad luck since January it probably means we had as much pre January. I’d probably say it was more 10% good luck and then 10% bad luck evening it all out.

I believe you make your own. Danny Johnson’s massive goals at home to Bradford and Salford and away at Donny weren’t good luck because they were late. They were because that’s just what he does. Not having him as at least that bench option in the last two games where we so needed another DJ moment is just awful management. Luck not coming into it at all. Imagine leaving the most prolific striker in the league out of your matchday squad when you’re in our position.

DJ has had a phenomenal influence on the team’s fortunes considering how few appearances he’s made.

We’ve also had plenty of fortunate opportunities during this bad run. The Cheltenham player passing to Albert enabling us to go 2-0 up with 12 minutes left, Harrogate scoring an own goal when the player was barely under pressure, Newport getting a red that on other days could have been a yellow. Opportunity has knocked many times but we simply havn’t been good enough take them, same twice going into games knowing the early results had gone our way against Barrow and Accy. And all these “worldies” and deflected shots costing us is because from Col U away onwards our closing down of opposition players around our own box, particularly from basic set-pieces - has been woeful.

Lump on, mate.

You know it makes sense!

For those not at the game, our game is live on Skyplus, if on NOW its off the EFL link.
The Bradford game doesn’t seem to be available, but Notts County is.

100%, when a shots travelling 10 to 15 yards before it reaches a player its always more likely to take a deflection than if youre out trying to get a block in from a couple of yards away.
It must also be one of the easiest things to fix as a manager from corners by not having every player within 12 yards of the goal line

I’m on my way shortly, if anyone wants to say hi I’ll be wearing a red checked shirt, a baseball cap with an rose through the NY, and a skull t-shirt.

Then he’s going to give you another appointment in two weeks which is not going to go well.
