I won’t listen to that clown, but did he mention the fans
That was so cruel, everything about it. We definitely don’t deserve to go up but to leave it until the last kick of the game to find out is just the the kick in the nuts to add to the thousand cuts we had before. And there’s more torture to come in the playoffs.
Motivation has to be for the playoff legs for the players is you’ve now got a chance to play at wembley, a chance few players get and not only play but make a memory that will last a lifetime. It’ll be something you can hold for the entire of your career and make this season worth the pain we feel today. Go out there are do it lads, for yourselves more than anything.
In fairness, it was a very brief interview. Basically about the ending of the Bradford game and how the outcome changed.
I dont know if it was an interview for Sky or something but a minute at most - very strange.
Watched the last few minutes of the Bradford game as i couldnt bear to watch us try and defend the game out once he took Hall off. They missed so many chances in that last 10 minutes that i actually thought it was going to be our day. Hit the post, goalmouth scrambles and blazing it over the bar. in the end a long free kick with seconds to go that fleetwood needlessly gave away instead of running the ball into the corner to see the game out resulted in a headed clearance dropping to a bradford player about 25 yards out, he fluffed the shot but it hit their striker as he was running in anticipating a save from the keeper and totally wrongfooted the keeper. He was laughing his head off as he literally didn’t know anything about it. But fortune evens itself out over the season, we have been dreadful since January and that is down to one man.
Its all petty in the grand scheme of things though, its just kicking a bag of wind about, the news i received yesterday puts it all in perspective for me.
If the deflection was off their player … looked a bit off side to me ?
Yes, it’s tight but I too think it was offside
This season feels like continually having the knife stuck in .
Sadler on WM:
- Can’t sum up his emotions
- Doesn’t have words to explain it
- Fans and players excellent
- Disappointed not to get it done today
- Have to dust ourselves down and go again
- Professional performance
So many Saddlers have got battles going on in their personal lives. Up until January WFC was providing some much needed respite. Sadly now they have just heaped on the upset
He reminds me a bit of Graham Westley years ago in interviews. All matey and oblivious to things going wrong.
Smith had his critics and he did go down the line of constantly blaming refs and other stuff for bad results and protecting the team in public but you always felt with him he was reading the riot act to the squad behind closed doors when it was merited.
Never felt the same with Sadler. He probably is saying the same stuff every day that he does in interviews and so the intensity hasn’t been there from February to keep winning and now it has cost the club big time.
Think I will be getting p1ssed tonight!! Would love to say I fancy our chances against Chesterfield but I really don’t!!
Really need to google an alternative to gutted but then I feel just like everyone else who was there
Gutted.
Perhaps someone watching on their phone could have had a word with the 4th effin official!!!
I suppose conceding at the end is better than at the beginning. Fair play.
Also a few saying Sarcevic was sent off for taking his shirt off, but he carried on playing when the game restarted.
Points deduction in my opinion.
You are missing the point
George Hall on WM:
- Squad disappointed
- Not our day
- Use it as momentum into the play offs
- Been playing a lot better in last few games but didn’t get results, now we can take win into next match
- Fans great and important to help in play offs
- Let result settle in, recover and see it through
I’ve just seen the Bradford goal, difficult to tell, but looked onside to me.
Your point is Fleetwood tried when they didn’t have to. Taken.
He was definitely booked in the bit of the first half I watched which could easily have been a straight red on its own.
