Won’t be the last game of the season as we’ll have play off disappointment to contend with after this game.
But it feels right to put a full stop to this season’s 46 in an appropriate way.
I tend not to drink as much these days and certainly not around the football. But well done Walsall FC, you’ve driven me there.
Will be an epic day one way or the other. I’ve done tons of aways this season just hope me and tue boy have booked the odd one on line to both qualify as we tend to pay on the day. Think we had to for Vale.

It’s put me in a bit of a rubbish situation.
Ideally, if we have no chance of automatic promotion I’d have given this one a miss to save the money for the playoffs.
I just can’t take the risk that this will be a promotion game, as unlikely as it seems. I’d never forgive myself.
The end of this season should have been bloody brilliant and it has turned into a nightmare.

And I owe you an apology mate. I couldn’t talk after the game yesterday when I saw you. I think I may have offered you just one profanity as it was but if I’d have stayed and chatted your lads would have learned a whole new range of swear words. Was just too gutted to be honest.
Shamefully I then watched the scrap on Bescot Cresent understanding the need for catharsis from some of our lot and hating Vale even more - shit losers - even worse winners.

It’s fine mate. I totally get where you are coming from. I just wanted to get out of there myself. I’d got my oldest lad giving me all kinds of grief like it was my fault we have messed it up. I’m a patient Dad, and I also understand why he was feeling that way but I just wanted it to stop. I got them a Mcdonalds to try and cheer them up a little (it didn’t work) and it then took over an hour and a half to get out of the retail park. We got home at 16.55. Loads of fun eh?
The kids are gutted, but because they are kids I don’t think they realise that I am hurting not only because of what is happening to Walsall but because of how much I wanted it for them. In one way it is good because it means enough to them to be so upset but it is hard to see them so upset. I guess that is what being a Dad is about, lifting them up when you feel like shit yourself.
We will catch up, mate, have a few beers and a few Walsall FC’s.

I’ll be on the phone 9:00am Monday morning. Whenever I go away I get 2 tickets 1 for me and 1 for my daughter who is also a season ticket holder. I hope that they realise that my daughter goes away with me and will allow me to buy 2 tickets.
I think that’ll be an interesting conversation.
I had similar ahead of a game at Salop a few years ago and it wasn’t great.

They are season ticket holders and have been to at least 15 away games this season.
Put it this way: if it doesn’t go how I expect it to, they will never get another penny out of me.

I’m away tomorrow till Friday mate and had a word with Liz as i picked up my Newport ticket and i have given my details to a friend and they can buy mine, as long as you have their customer numbers you should be ok mate

To be prepared, have your kids reference numbers and seat details. When it got messy for me with that Shrewsbury game, I was eventually able to persuade them that the away ticket “plus one” id brought about a dozen times that season for away games was my son who is supporter reference xxxxx, seat number yyyyy and they eventually believed I wasn’t blagging.
I get it from the club’s perspective but it shouldn’t be too hard work. If your kids are ST holders and you have examples of away purchases for more than yourself it isn’t a huge leap to guess who they might have been for.
Anyway, still loads of availability in the Crewe big stand and I’m sure we all know a few “neutrals” who have Shropshire , Cheshire and north west post codes.
What are the Newport prices? Although I imagine demand will outstrip allocation there especially with that one being on a bank holiday.
Went there in 2021 and filled up pretty much of the open temporary stand behind the goal so that will easily sellout.
Every time I book tickets it is for 1 adult and then two kids to fit in the age criteria. It isn’t the same for every club. It is so obvious who the tickets are for. I’m not in the habit of buying tickets for other people’s kids. More to the point, the kids can’t buy tickets for themselves, so how could they possibly have an away booking history other than the tickets I have got for them?
I never go on my own now; if the kids can’t go, then I don’t go. Like as recent as Doncaster, George couldn’t go so we didn’t go.
I am getting worked up about something that hasn’t happened yet, and in all honesty I have never had any problem with them in the ticket office. They have always been very helpful.

I came on to ask a similar question about kids tickets for this game as all the away games me and my son have been to this season, I’m guessing when I order them they don’t allocate the child ticket to my son. I’ll phone in the morning, I would presume you will be able to add a child ticket without question, especially if child has a season ticket. Disgusting prices by the way
