And Sadler was here last season and witnessed all those players play and he still decided to keep them. He also brings on Matt today while dj was sat on the bench. He also kept Knowles on the pitch who was absolutely dreadful. There’s no defending him at all. We’ve got barrow away , county away and tranmere at home. How many points do people think we’re gonna take from those? 3 max I’d say. The yanks to act and act now

I’m not arguing that Sadler isn’t to blame, I’ve already stated I’m in the Sadler out camp, I’m saying in my opinion it’s a myth that we have a squad of players able to get top 10. The majority haven’t shown it over nearly a season and a half, over two managers. At some point we have to accept we have poor managers working with equally poor players.

I think Tranmere at home is going to be the pinch point for Sadler.

What another waste of a season.

That they’ve charged fans more for :see_no_evil:

That was garbage there is no dressing it up.

Sadler is finished he wont turn it around, and he hasnt got the fans either. I expect Walsall to drag it out till after christmas before binning him. Abandoned the formation we recrutied for and very quickly reverted to kick and rush.

As for Tom Knowles jesus wept. Up there with one of the worst stinkers ive ever seen a playwr have. Infuriating.

The ref was a disgrace. Looking right at the fgr player making a diving save. Joke. Glad he got clattered.

Not a total waste, we’ll always have that first 45 mins at Crewe to cling on to

Defeat at barrow and then losing at Alfreton and he’s gone imo.

Now he’s fit need to get Farq in that backline next to Daniels just to get a clean sheet or two and build from that.

Whenever DS went on poor runs he’d usually grind out a few 0-0s to get the solidity back and then eventually a scrappy 1-0 win would happen and then the confidence would return and team would go on a better run.

0-0 today, 0-0 at Barrow and then win in the cup and that’s something to start building on.

Wouldnt leave it that long fella!!. Appreciate all the opinions for and against keeping Sads as manager but it is so obviously not going to work…was never going to work. The fans patience is very thin and rightly so after the years of abject leadership from the top…but when our survival in the football league becomes more and more perilous then trivela have some seriously important decisions to make.

I agree. There’s the lack of a complete basket case or two to create a buffer between us and the drop.

I didn’t for one minute think we’d go up or get in the play-offs this season. I thought we’d bounce between 10th and 14th.

Unfortunately, some good players are becoming average, some average players are becoming poor and some poor players are getting worse. Which all suggests that the coaching and management isn’t right.

Sadler’s rise to first team coach position is undoubtedly an over acceleration. I’ve still not much problem with his appointment because we’ve seen that acceleration work in the past. But he’s definitely more Birmingham City youth team coach than an EFL first team coach at this stage of his career. Waddock and Byfield also falling short in their support of him.

Lose on Tuesday and next Saturday and I’m an ā€œouttieā€ despite my usual ā€œgive them til Christmasā€ philosophy.

I think there has to be genuine concern about the relegation situation. We’ve been battered 4-0 by team currently in 24th and struggled massively against 23rd today. The others below us, apart from Doncaster, have already changed their manager and will probably see an upturn in form soon.

I don’t think it’s an overreaction to say we’re in a dogfight for our league status.

Thought he had a really good game and when he was hooked we lost any threat we had down that left hand side.

Crap result and a poor, uninspired performance.

Knowles can’t get anything right. Hutchinson only seems to want to shoot now. Stirk was annoymous. Gordon was off it.

Comley played his role well. Maher showed flashes of talent and the centre backs were decent.

We are firmly into looking over our shoulder now territory now.

Curious to hear the positive spin on this one.

I mentioned / discussed Waddock, myself, in a post earlier on in the thread - what is he actually bringing to this ā€˜party’? He is meant to be an experienced head to help Sadler - are we seeing any evidence of this? And is it because Sadler isn’t listening to or liking what Waddock says, or is it that Waddock isn’t all that as well? Not sure what to say on Byfield as he hasn’t exactly got a great track history behind him in the coaching sphere up to now.

Yep, it all feels a bit Taylor/McDonald.

Something that i have thought for a while now

Better game today from mcentee
We didn’t lose
Deeney has lost it

Got to stay positive. We are where we are meant to be now and it’s time the fans accept we are a bottom league 2 team and that is where we are as a club
We need to start appreciating drawing to 23rd and clap anytime knowles actually passes a ball to a man in red
I believe sadler is the man to get us out of this division and the fans should unite
Also nice to see the fans didn’t boo at the end much ( or cheer during the game ) the quiet silent atmosphere would only help the players concentration

Same situation caused by the same mistakes. Trivela doing the same things those previous have done. A lick of paint in the club shop is not gonna cut it for long.

Does not bode well.
