D 0-0 vs MK Dons (H) - League Two - Tue 3rd Oct, 7:45pm

That’s what’ll define the season, too many draws is what stops a side from being contenders. 50/50 wins and losses is 1.5pts/game which is 69 for the season which is just below/borderline playoffs. Got to win at home though really, especially as we’ve started to get the away wins.

Please Sadler, play the same team as Saturday and we will win, muck about with the team members and the formation (again) and a draw is all we can expect.
Even IF certain first teamers currently injured/suspended can play, stick 'em on the bench at best, that team were magnificent on Saturday, you’ve come up with a winning combo (rare in a Walsall shirt, specially that bloody awful green strip!) they deserve another chance, don’t spoil things…

Hopefully we’re ‘moving on up’ now with the stylish new formation and maybe we saw our first real glimpses of how ‘Sadball’ should be played. Really should be a good watch tonight.

Going to be top banana, with Sads setting the team up for thrashing those MK lads 6-0, it’s certainly been coming the way we’ve been playing lately.

Well said same team sends a good message to all the squad well done to those who played and this is what you have to do to get on team sheet to the rest .seems the modern trend for managers to pick a different team for every game .and I see that for some game’s tacticaly .but sometimes you need to send the message to players your the stars guys not me . Any pro worth is salt wants selection on the team sheet .every week if he’s fit .this
“ I understand it’s a squad game “ just saying the right thing .

Crazy league this year with everyone beating everyone. 4pts cover 6th-16th. Best way to predict these games is to flip a coin and go with that!
Heads Walsall, Tails Dung…shit, sorry gang. I got Tails. Best 2 outta 3?? Balls, that’s Tails again. Tuesday nights really are cursed!!!

Can’t see anything else but a 3-0 win .

Get the goals early , knock it about for a while , cigars out by 9.45 .

Level head, would accept/be happy with a draw, certainly not getting carried away because of how we played against Bradford…

I don’t know about everyone else but I always enjoy a midweek fixture under the lights, always something magical about that. First one of a few this season, don’t usually have to wait this long for one at home.

It would be very Walsall to win tonight and raise expectations, only to get thumped at bottom of the table Sutton on Saturday

And are we going to see upgraded floodlights ?

Sorry, I rather prefer a Saturday game, don’t you know :grinning:

I agree. Sense of theatre. Night games at Fellows Park really were something. Two favourites, from league games, were, first, the bomb-scare game (can everybody in the stand look under their seats?) against Bristol Rovers, which we won with two goals in injury time and a game against Vale where we were 2-0 down, Kelly got one back before half-time and we won 5-2.

Could this be the start of a good run up the table or as normal one good game followed by bad. This league is open for us to progress upwards let’s hope for a 3 -0. DJ to come on early second half and nick 2.

5-2 Win, 4 nil up at Half time. Johnson and Matt starting and scoring and then both heavily injured in the seconds half to crush a false dawn.

Or more optimisticly a simple 1-0 Win with Hutchinson scoring from a well worked counter attack. But only 4216 fans :pensive:

I’m taking it one step at a time .I will make the journey there feeling very optimistic and even that is a big plus…on arriving in my seat everything after that is completely out of my control unfortunately .with luck the return journey home will be joyful  we win Mrs gets a chip shop supper .
