It’s took him longer than it should have to start showing something.I’ve been really disappointed with him since he signed especially with all the build up and media stuff surrounding him signing.
Especially with how highly rated the Norwich loan lad supposedly is

Definitely worst hes played,thought lad from Norwich would start.Pleased Matt starts atleast he should hold ball up and get hutch and earing into the game
Surprised given the rain again this game is on. Conditions like Saturday as Sadler alluded to won’t exactly help our front foot attacking football but we have to deal with it. Like the starting line up, Matt and Gordon will be a real handful up top.

The way Sadler was talking I was expecting the Norwich lad would have at least been on the bench, bul*hit at his best.
Are the stats I’ve just looked at correct here? Has Matt only scored 3 goals in 36 apps since signing?

Happy for someone to contradict but I’m sure the only away games we’ve scored first in this season are crewe and Gillingham. And this includes a season where we’ve played at 6th and 7th tier clubs.
Which is really annoying but not as annoying as the manager coming out afterwards and asserting “we were sluggish from the first whistle and conceded the early goal. Which isn’t like us”

Still not massively convinced on why we signed Josh Gordon in all honesty. We need a poacher, that instinctive forward that finishes opportunities ( Johnson basically). I don’t really believe Josh has ever been that style of forward.

Seems to have chose a solid first 11, dropping Faal is the right option, would like to have seen Dave dropped to the bench and the lad from Norwich come in though
I know it may sound radical, but maybe a solid defensive display this time and some successful offensive plays. Sooner or later this team clicks, only question when. Or if.

I’m guessing by it saying 36 apps that it includes substitute appearances yes mate.That is quite poor at any level for a striker and he’s certainly due one, hopefully tonight

I think you’re going to be pleasantly surprised, I think Mat and the boys will be absolutely hell bent in righting the wrongs of Saturday and putting in a performance that is more like ‘us’.
