D 1-1 vs Crawley Town (H) - League Two - Tue 24th Oct, 7:45pm

Is that league ? Or league and cup(s)?

Just in the league

Yeah not surprised. I thought it would be worse if I’m honest; we seem to be terrible on a Tuesday :joy:

DJ as a right midfielder? Sorry doesnt look sensible to me.

I agree Knowles is a frustrating player, but i thought did ok v newport

For me a box midfield - it’s the only way to get DJ in I think. With the 442, I don’t like Hutch asked to be played as a traditional wide player. In the 4231/4222 then he can drift inside (as he does) and be more influential.

Evans

Foulkes Daniels McEntee Gordon

Stirk Comley

Knowles/Tierney Hutch

Draper DJ

A 4-2-2-2. Its interesting. But perhaps for another time as i think we need width tonight.

The only concern for me is at the back, yes we can score goals but blimey why we keep conceding early goals and continue doing it in most games is something that needs sorting out if this team is going to progress.
Add the Tuesday night curse and it’s time to bite yer nails.

Yep. Play your best defenders at the back.

That’s McEntee and Daniels.

I think it would be a lot more secure looking with Daniels McEntee Comley and Stirk in the centre. Coupled with Gordon and Foulkes… I’d be a lot happier.

I still think right back is a big missing piece (has been since pre season).

If Riley plays tonight, if I was the opposition manager I’d be targeting that area with him and Williams.

I’m not sure DJ is unhappy Killer, I believe he has had a particularly rough time at home after the birth of his child. I think he has stated that he has had the worst 3 or 4 months. Well will see.

We basically discuss the same problems pre match every game home or away there’s no real answer it’s always a compromise till we solve the problem at RB . We will get away with it sometimes but it will inevitably cost us long term because it’s so vital to the balance and selection of the team .if we we’re playing better as a side controlling games looking more together as a side we would be better able to cover weaknesses in certain players and areas of the pitch .but we also lack that player to give us that control .shame but we’re 2 players short of what could be the makings of a very competitive team in this league .saying that 3-1 Walsall tonight think one of those nights we get away with it .

3-0 Walsall win. Evans hatrick, it’s his turn this week.

You selected Evans in goal, and then replaced him with Smith in your diagram - any reason?

A hard fought 1-1 draw from me. Tierney 88th minute.

Agree on the score, think too many are of the opinion that this will be an easy 3 pointer, I have my doubts, Crawley are a stronger side this season than we give them credit for. Recent defeats have made people think they are a walkover, they are not, don’t they have another giant ā€˜Smith’ up front in their ranks?
We should aim to get the 3 points, we will need them, Saturdays opposition are a different proposition!

It doesn’t help our cause that we are so poor on a Tuesday night and most of our home games seem to fall on them.We hardly ever seem to be at home on a Saturday and it’s felt like that this season so far and it certainly did last season.

It was there by default on the app and I didn’t notice :joy:

Not sure this will be an easy game or any guarantee we will get 3 points,
afterall they are one place above us with a game in hand.

I just hope we can turn the Tuesday night game hoodoo around and start winning a few.

Sticking my neck out after saying all that and a 2 - 0 win.

Draper and Hutchinson, 4643

I can’t settle until the club tell us what time we need to make our way to our seats. I need to ensure I avoid the stampede.
