DC - Commitment & Passion

The story below really shows how much of an asset it is to have a manager who is living and breathing our football club:

It might not be paying off at the moment - but give him time and he will bring some pride and success to the club

He’s had a lot to do with Liddle over the years, wonder if that’s why he keeps selecting him against the opinion of a lot of fans.

I don’t mind Liddle as a backup defender - certainly not as a CDM…

He’s a bar of chocolate ???

Not a good sign, it can’t last in the long run. He’ll either become very unhappy and it will show in the way he manages (as with mourinho at Manchester) or he’ll be off if something comes up closer to home. “Football first, family second” is not a sustainable or happy situation.

I think most managers have that kind of dedication and commitment - they are all in.
Mrs Clarke knew what she was in for when she married Darrell. For the marriage to succeed, she has to be all in too.

He claimed Commitment and Passion should be a bare minimum to expect of footballers the weekend. Think it would be slightly hypocirtical if he didn’t follow that himself.

To be fair as many failures as a football manager he had, passion and drive wasn’t one of them.
