Yep, Vale scoreline is really bad for us.
He does run his nuts off and I never fault his effort but that isn’t gonna prove enough in a midfield where others are lacking (as has been the case for the last couple of months…)
Overall though - probably one of the best first 45 mins in a game for many weeks
I’d be amazed if it finished 1-1 though….

Interesting our goal came from them playing out from the back all be it from a long pass from the defender into the midfield and us getting the ball forward quickly. How we caught so many teams out in the 1st half of the season.

Think we just shaded that half. Both teams playing some decent stuff but i think both guilty of little mistakes here and there. Donny trying to overplay things a bit aswell.
They look shit scared of Asiimwe and Amantchi aswell.
Great character to come back immediately after they scored - brilliant marauding run and cross from McEntee and that header from Tails was up there with some of his free-kicks - quality.
A bit more composure, right subs at the right times and this one is there for us. Never thought id say that pre-game.

Nope Chang on bench
Need to keep this going in the second half.
It’s the others that are lacking that is the problem. Jellis isn’t playing as well as he was earlier in the season but he is always the one in midfield trying to make something happen. Tries too hard at times I think and forces things at the wrong times.
The lack of quality midfield options on the bench doesn’t allow changing much though. I’d have been happy for him to come off for Hall or Chang on about 60 minutes.

The best half of football I’ve seen from the lads in a long time. Amanchi and Jamma are working well up front. Another goal from Allen.

You cant even really bring Lakin on for Jellis either. We’d have 3 Left footed players in midfield.
Good half that was, good standard for league 2 I thought. I’d take a point now as its a decent result away but a win would be lovely.
