I will admit I rather Jamma be suspended against Harrogate than Doncaster
People are saying Doncaster are a good team, well, so are we but better, imho.
Home game in great conditions with an 8,000 plus crowd cheering us on to victory - no brainer!
UTS.
Fear nobody in this division tbh. Weve proved we are the ones to fear, just ask the 6 L1 teams
I’m hopeless at predicting, in part because I simply cannot predict a Walsall loss. So I stay out of it.
Speaking of Boxing Day games, I’m still smarting from the 7 - 1 thrashing meted out to us ,- ooh, centuries ago - by an Oxford Utd team led by Ron Atkinson
The disappointment was compounded by attending with an Oxford supporter, a mate of my bro.
I remember it too well! We played in those white shirts with WFC across the chest. Oxford were upstarts not long elected to the league.
One of my worst memories as a young saddler coming back on coach I thought I would wake up and it all been a night mare. But we carry on.
For all the last few seasons have been hard going we haven’t really been walloped (unless I’ve blanked it out).
Losing 5-0 at Colchester under Merson was a bad time. Travelling all that way and the game was over before half time
Fleetwood 6
Not a boxing day game I know but a tanking all the same …
I guess so if you look at the final score, but to me that game could have gone either way with 30 minutes to go, unlike other games where we’ve lost before half time.
The Oxford game scarred me for life, I was working in Oxford so the result caused me enough grief.
It was compounded by the fact I used to sell the Walsall club scratch cards at work too …. No hiding place but nobody ever said supporting the Saddlers would be easy
Indeed…that Oxford game mentioned above was closer than the score indicates.I think we hit the post 4 times!! I went to that game with a friend and got there late as we went to Oxford City’s ground by mistake. We were 2-0 down when we got into the ground .Almost as soon as we were in Kirby? scored and we thought we will soon be level but every time Oxford attacked they scored. It was a long journey home…no M40 in those days!!
True, I also had the same feeling when we played Bromley, that could of so easily been another Fleetwood score, but luckily we got away with that one.
Who amongst us wouldn’t have thought that that statement was an oxymoron just 6 short months ago…
Very true Sid and it’s testament to Jamma for putting all the hard work in to be able to perform as he is now.He could have slowly faded into the abyss of ex footballers but he made a personal choice to go yet again in his career and have one last push.I for one based on his performances this season am grateful he did because no matter what anyone thinks of Jamille I know there wouldn’t be many who would like to defend against him for 90 minutes. He’s an absolute nightmare.
Setting off in a bit. Very much looking forward to this - though having followed us for half a century there’s always a nagging “it’ll be a damp squib” voice at the back of your head.
Whilst it won’t be full, it’ll certainly be a very healthy attendance. The Poundland stand could get close to being full (middle and lower nearly there already) and even the family stand looks to be shifting a bit now. With them bringing over a thousand should make for a cracking atmosphere.
Would take six points from these four games. Five wouldn’t be disastrous either. Eight or more ridiculous.
UTS. - come on lads
Demolished by the Tank🙄
Been struggling with the lurgy for a few weeks now so not able to get to Bescot today. Hoping it’s on Sky Sports as it’s not a Saturday game.
Yeah Steve it’s on sky sports +
