Ridiculous decision by trivela to take us there when it’s crunch time in the league for Drogheda, we looked disjointed, unfit, uninterested etc
Hopefully it’s been a good team bonding exercise because what was shown on the pitch was pointless, well done to the Drogs winning the Trivela Cup (and we wonder why locals call us Smalsall) look after it as we’re coming for it in twelve months.

I think the last bit of the sentence is the worrying bit! Time is ticking and there is no sign of quality strikers coming to the Bescot! But, I hear Drogheda have a decent striker playing for them who we could take!

We have had Sadler in charge for 12 months now and i struggled to see a pattern of play last season, i don’t know what we work on except for set play routines and we have lost Watson now now who planned them, so going forward this season i was hoping we would have more of a plan, but it looks like we still dont and you would think Sadler would have more of an idea after 12 months in charge, i am getting more disheartened about our chances of pushing for a top 7 as the pre- season rolls on without a strike force that can’t score we need 2 in NOW not in a weeks time days before the season starts, so please BB act now

I don’t think you believe that yourself Andy. The reason we are so totally ineffective is that we have nothing up front to aim for or hold the ball up. Let’s not even go into not scoring goals, because let’s face it, Sadler doesn’t see it as a problem in his interviews after games,he barely mentions it apart from " we’re still looking at players in certain positions".

I’m at the stage where I’m not even sure we need reinforcements up top as I just don’t see with the way we play what difference they’d make. Like putting some new curtains on the titanic, makes it look better but in the end pretty pointless.

Tbf the players were in Oliver St John’s last night having a great time but also speaking to all of the fans. Spoke at length with Jamille Matt, Jack Earing, Liam Gordon and Donovan Daniels in particular, but also shook hands with McEntee, DJT, Hornby, Josh Gordon, Stirk, RAM, Farq.
To a man they all said how much they love playing for the club and Sadler and how it wasn’t just lip service it had a different feel to every other club. From the staff to the fans. Jamma in particular said how much of a better environment it was and even mentioned how the fans do turn quickly, but that he one hundred percent gets it and that their as frustrated as we are with the performances. Earing also talked about how he basically hated it under previous managers.
You got the feeling that Sadler has cultivated an environment the players enjoy at least, I’m just not sold on the quality of it over all.

They were also giving the chants 100 percent, particularly Oh Donovan Daniels, Sam Hornby, Hornby Hornby Hornby, Jamille Matt is Walsalls Number and Wednesbury Road.
