They don’t have to miss out. I have no problem whatsoever with people being fed up, going away, then coming back if things look to improve. People want to enjoy their weekend and don’t feel like they have to be stuck with Walsall on one of their two days off, fair play to them for having something else to do, and if they think they’ll enjoy it again and come back, so be it.
Essentially the marketing campaign for most football clubs, keep coming because it might just be our year next season. Unfortunately I think some (including myself) are thinking I’m sick of hearing it but never failing to see it materialise.
To be honest, its’ not the results that bother me.
We are outplayed at home by every team that comes here.
The football is boring, long kicks from goal, long throws from the side.
Lack of football through midfield and lack of being able to keep the ball.
In the majority of games , we have less possession. This is due to hoof ball , losing the ball and stepping back from opposition players waiting for them to make a move.
Which generally, they do and often pass through our midfield and defence, get the ball out wide and cross for opposition chances.
Dean Smith once went 17 games without a win, are we repeating this?
MF was unlucky in the transfer markets but he has got these players but will start tonight with a different 11 again. March and still can’t work out the best 11 even with injuries.
It’s really quite impressive how this season has imploded so quickly. We were in a real good position the start of January make no mistake about it, the feel good factor was here and typical Walsall a couple of months later the manager is talking about wholesale changes to his squad in the summer. We need consistency, we have gone through the cycle of starting again and sacking the manager so much, I don’t blame anyone if they’ve had enough of it.
I’m not knocking people who decide they don’t want to go to games and do whatever else on a Saturday/Tuesday evening for whatever personal reason they have - I’m questioning the short-termism of “I’m not going this week because we lost last week and I believe that means we will 100% lose again”. When it’s a longer term trend you’re reacting to then yeah I can see it - and you are of course welcome back if things change and you want to be a part of it again (although there are never any guarantees that it is a real turnaround and not another false dawn - and you might have already missed the high point before you came back. That’s football, that’s life in general).
And in particular I am also questioning how the next 3 games is any indication whatsoever of what may or may not happen next season???
Bradford generally played out from the back last week, and it was nice to watch. They varied it a bit and sometimes played it long, but I was wishing we could play the same way they did.
The strange thing is that one of the teams had a centre forward who might be expected to be able to make the hoofball thing work, and one didn’t, and it was the wrong way round.
I’ve felt the same lots of times over the last few seasons. It starts to get tedious seeing how inept our attacking attempts are, then when we lose the ball the opposition attacks and carves through us like we’re not there.
I’ve missed two of the last three home games due to health issues, I shall miss tonight’s for the same reason. Thing is, if I could go tonight I don’t think I would. If you shop in Poundland you know you’ll mostly get tatt. We shop in the football equivalent of Poundland, and mostly sign tatt. Year After Year! Now prices are rising and while I can understand the season ticket hike I’m not convinced by the Car Park and Lounge Pass rise. The latter is just to squeeze folk out to fit in more dinning, just money grabbing pure and simple as is the Car Park rise. I can’t say right now whether I’ll renew even though I can afford to. I’m tired of watching tatt. Period!
I will go to the next few games but whether I renew is really in the balance for me…
If there was a pattern of play and some excitement to watch then I would be tempted but I cannot remember going to a game and enjoying the experience - especially at home.
I’m fed up of all of these false dawns… For me to pay the extra money I want to see what I’m going to get - How about some photos / videos of what the new Saddlers club will look like as an incentive plus anything else that they are going to do to improve the matchday experience.
Its just gone very quiet and I think we are in for worrying times
I wont be going to any more games this season unless someone gives me a free ticket
I have been offered one and i STILL don’t want to go
Me also for tonight. And I don’t want to go either.
When you’re looking for a reaction, at least make your mind up…
I still haven’t renewed I think my head is actually winning this time
I posted that I don’t want to go to any more games then after that by coincidence my friend asked me if I wanted a ticket for tonight of which I said I didn’t want to go. So not getting mixed up
If you are there enjoy it
Would a half season ticket be half of £527 or whatever it is (after early bird finishes)?
Half of the full price.
Yes, pretty sure it is half of the full price like Steve said.
If I recall rightly, the last couple of seasons they have given you one extra game if you buy it by a certain date.
Thanks. Might be the way to go. See what the summer brings
I’m thinking the same
