“Has anyone seen Jason Cundy?”
I know he’s a duck-lover - are Salisbury still in the hat?

:joy:

Mansfield Wrexham is a cracking draw and sure to feature I would have thought.

Ooh yes please. The Magpie Cafe

Charlton v Cray Valley Paper Mills looks a prime selection. Cray Valley are from level 8 and it’s a very local derby.

Got to be Wrexham
Stockport
Salford
Notts county
All surely instant picks

Notts County have Crawley, wouldn’t call that an ‘instant pick’

The SS Richard Montgomery.
Has 1,400 tons of unexploded munitions on board it.

Was one of the main reasons the idea of building an airport on an artificial island in the Thames Estuary got shelved.

If it is the lowest placed team we [play, I reckon we will be on TV. They usually go for those sort of games.

Sheppey play at the same level ( step 4) that my local team, Larkhall Athletic, play at. They have already won 4 FA Cup ties to get to the 4th qualifying round and playing us would be a very big deal if they can beat Billericay.

Their ground capacity is similar to Larkhall and I can tell you that putting on the replay with Billericay let alone hosting us would stretch every organisational sinew imaginable. They will not change the venue if they can help it and will want to play an established league club at their home ground.

As a regular at that level of football the fitness and player technique has improved immeasurably in the last few years. Clubs like this are volunteer led and in their own way smaller versions of us. We have more in common with them than we do with the Premier League. The same goes for Billericay but one step higher.

Sheppey looks like they play on a 4G pitch, not sure about Billericay

Sheppey is less than 20 miles from Gillingham who have been drawn away at Hereford. Can see the home advantage argument, but they could get several times the attendance and revenue by switching.

Would that be enough to consign the island to it’s deserved watery grave?

Good draw. Close to perfect. Something a bit different and we should progress.

Was agreeing totally, then read the last bit :flushed::rofl:

Based on inviolvement at that level of football for a number of years I’d be surprised if their first thought if they get through is not to play Walsall on their own ground. Shortwood did it against Port Vale a few years ago and took the accompanying tv money. They chose not to play it at nearby Forest Green when they could have doubled the crowd of 1,247.

If Sheppy win and switch, it would not have the same romance. This would be a once in a 50/100 years opportunity for a club averaging 150-200 for league games. I can’t see them switching unless it was via police advice.

I really hope they beat Billericay!

Walsall v (possibly) the lowest ranked team in the competition?

We all know the script…

Hold out for a draw and bring them back to Fortress Poundland?

Do you reckon Draper will be allowed to play.
