Not the greatest pictures but the winner actually looks like Shakey scoring with his right foot!
Another tough but winnable tie however it comes in the middle of a very tough run of fixtures. We will need all our deep squad methinks. On the Tuesday after we entertain Notts County followed by Port Vale away so I would probably change the team a little against Charlton.
A very winnable game wouldn’t feel scared of anyone in a home game at the moment and feel we are getting better with every game let’s just concentrate on the next few games and consolidate our position in the league
Are you looking at the fixtures on the OS? The date is above not below - it’s the rescheduled Bromley game on the Tuesday night, Notts County on the Saturday.
I thought the Saturday match after Bromley was this cup tie.Notts County is on the 3rd December which it says is a Tuesday.
So far every cup tie we’ve had this season we’ve been drawn at home both in League and FA Cup. That’s unheard of for us. Very unusual
A winnable game, the problem is that they will treat it the same way, thinking about the next round.
May be a TV pick looking at rest of the draw so would hold fire on this being a Sat 3pm game.
Correct, Charlton will be 30th November
Doh! Need my eyes testing.
Yes, Bromley then the cup, then County. If the Gillingham game doesn’t get called off then that will mean we’ll have had a run of 7 out of 8 games being at home.
Personally I think it’s a good draw, hopefully decent crowd and another good game.
Yes you do …not to worry my friend.
Was that goal right at the death?
Me and a mate travelled from Reading to this one, but being useless students, completely misjudged how long it would take us to get to Selhurst Park, after all it was only 30 mins in to Paddington from Reading. Eventually got there so late in the second half that they’d opened the gates for any early leavers, so got in for nought, saw about 5/10mins including the goal if my memory’s right. Then headed back to Reading, still a good day though.
I think it was a late-ish goal, last 15 mins.
I was only about 11 at the time, I remember it quite well though.
Hoping we get a good solid attendance, that the fans get behind the team and prices are not extortionate. Think £20 is about right.
Cheers for that, I think we basically walked into ground through a big set of metal gates by the stand, walked onto the terrace and the next thing that happened was the goal going in. Then that was pretty much it, saw the winner job done.
Good draw. Home advantage against a team that will likely bring a couple of thousand and will be another good test for us.
Every chance of progressing.
Think that was Sam Matterface on the Blues game today.
Blokes an absolute nause and is the chairman of his own fan club. I cringe at the rubbish he comes out with - specially when he does the England games.
Doesn’t come across well when he stands in for Jin White on Talksport either
Charlton took less than 1400 to Southend and that’s a way easier journey than up to us, so can’t see them bringing as many as Bolton never mind 2000+.
Bring it!
