FA Cup Round 1

Not good draw.

Yeah, I’m not buying that. These were the games selected last year, with only Crewe v Derby the all league tie, I’d have my money on MK Dons v AFC Wimbledon being the one with the others made up of ties with non-league teams involved. The gasp in the audience when that game was pulled will tell the BBC/ITV all they need to know

Since Blackpool were renamed " Steve Bruce’s Blackpool," they’re probably in with a chance of being on BBC.

Shame no-one realised Bruce began at Gillingham, or even that Northampton v Kettering is a pretty big local derby.

Crewe v Derby is surely a very similar match up! Don’t know how you can use that as evidence in favour of walsall wont be chosen

I’m not fussed either way. Probably won’t sell out the away end if it is on telly.

Contrary to some I like this draw. It should be a good game. I hope our supporters turn up in numbers. Trivela should help by keeping the prices at a reasonable level.

Northampton v Kettering might be on tv. Bit of a local derby as well as giant killing potential

Aside from MK Dons v Wimbledon being nailed on for telly, I can see Notts County v Alfreton and Northampton v Kettering getting considered as non league v league local derbies.

Probably FC Hollywood and Blues too.

MK against Wimbledon draw of the round for me considering the history

I don’t want us on TV this round . Let’s have a good old fashioned cup tie.

Which would bring in Bristol R v Weston as well, although they do prefer the non-League team to be at home.

Home game on a Saturday 3pm please.

If its not, we would have had one Saturday home game at 3pm in 10 weeks between Cheltenham and Crewe.

Good chance of getting to round 2

Great point. Hadn’t spotted that fixture

I was once in Weston during a Bristol derby. Although Rovers are generally considered North Bristol, there were way more Rovers shirts in the pubs before and after the match. Going back a bit though- 2001 I think.

Hollywood, as the presenter called them, are mandatory for the BBC.

I see it a bit like Huddersfield. Bolton have had a slow start to league one so they need to get their league form up and running so could well be a mix and match side.

Do replays still exist or have they been scrapped from round 1. If so get practising those penalties please…

Some really good draws elsewhere. I mentioned Worthing away would be a brilliant away trip and Morecambe have that honour. Huddersfield-Tamworth is a nailed on TV pick and one the BBC will probably put on the Friday night so fair play to the Lambs and if Rushall win their replay then Accy will probably also make some sort of TV appearance.

This is one where the TV trucks won’t be routed towards Bescot and fair enough given what’s going on elsewhere.

It does mean we’ll have 4 consecutive home games to start November, 3 of which will be Saturday 3pm kick offs (barring replays, TV intervention, or other postponement - BTW when is the next international break?)

Curzon Ashton against Mansfield might be one for the tele. Curzon Ashton sounds like an accountancy firm rather than a footie club, but I can see it being chosen.
