As it’s a lunchtime kick off and is live on the telly, I imagine quite a few will watch it in the public house with a few jars, rather than attend.
Pretty certain it will sell out, but there’s not the same clamour as if it was a 3 O’clock jobby
Thanks
Just so long as it doesn’t all go Pete Tong for us in the match …
I’d have gone if there were seats left but no way is dad gonna stand and I won’t go without him x
Looks like there’s every chance it will go to general sale tomorrow morning.
Which in many ways is a good thing as it will mean everybody has had a chance.
I am quite surprised though. Some numpty was suggesting we could have taken 3,000 had they been available. Idiot.
There never is the clamour for any match that some on here would have you beleive. I’ve never not been able to attend any Walsall match I’ve wanted to attend in my 40 yrs of support. Can’t see that changing anytime soon. Particulary given the quality of product on offer
Kick off time is a factor there I think. Had it been 3 PM kick off I reckon they would have all been gone by now.
For people like me the problem is that it’s collection only from the Bescot, i.e no facility for posting tickets out and they are not sending any for collection from Alfreton on the day. If it wasn’t on the telly I might have made the 200 mile-plus return journey to collect. Guess I will just have to slum it in my warm living room with a beer or two.
And yes, I suppose that makes me a fair weather fan.
Demand outstripped supply against Sheppey which was only 2 weeks ago.
Has it been explained why those restrictions have been imposed? It seems rather draconian in this day and age and hardly customer friendly. I would like to think that a locally based fan to Bescot on here who is going to the match could collect on your behalf, or is that against the rules in some way?
There were 170 tickets. Even with that I don’t know anyone who wanted to go who couldnt.
Didnt realise you were friends with every Walsall fan. I must know you then.
For Sheppey the reason they wouldn’t post is Sheppey wouldn’t provide duplicates if they were lost. I assume same with this
I’m confused by this. There was an option to have them posted to your home address. Has that gone?
It’s there as a matter of course however for this game they wouldn’t post them, and the same with the Sheppey tickets.
That’s what they usually do, but when I asked the ticket office they said that because Alfreton didn’t have the facilities to print replacements for any tickets delayed/lost in the post, they weren’t offering that option. I must say that shows a deplorable lack of confidence in @RobHarv3y!
Oh ok. I ordered mine online and ticked the option for them to be posted to me. Perhaps i need to get onto the ticket office if they dont arrive early next week
Yes they can only be picked up.
Yeah you probably do he walks around with a I’ll be your friend for a fiver hat
Just popped back to The UK for a few days. Maybe you could point me in the direction of this fair weather, as all I’ve found so far is cold, grey and damp
I’ll be watching the game in shorts ad tee shirt with a cold one in hand, fortunately
