Good stuff.
Cheaper for that game than the Shrewsbury one on Tuesday.
Well done the club
Pity they couldn’t announce it at the game yesterday with the 7k Walsall fans in the ground, imagine Charlton hadn’t confirmed that they agreed.
Brilliant will definitely be there
Absolutely brilliant by the club. Here’s hoping for a huge turnout.
Dunno why the family stand is unavailable again could sell a few more Bolton hardly needed it and Charlton won’t bring as many as they did guess its the OAP stand again for me:rofl:
The club are doing some really good stuff at the moment
Agree
Fair play to club. This wouldn’t have happened if some the previous people on board had still been here!
Yep, cannot fault Trivela now, they’re doing the business on and off the pitch, feel like we’re a club transformed.
In anyone’s book this is incredible value, and with the prize awaiting the winner of a place in the 3rd Round I hope the take-up is as good if not better than the Bolton game. A brilliant gesture by the club.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Monday 11th November, season ticket holders have 48 hours to reserve their allocated seat for the game, after that they go on general sale.
Probably not worth it to drop the price with the attendances we get for it.
Good on the club for keeping these prices. As long as people know if we get through and bag a bigger team at home, the price will go up. And probably justifiably so.
Great stuff and fair play to Charlton. Can’t imagine it being a bigger crowd than versus Bolton. Charlton, like jellied eels, don’t travel well and with it being closer to Christmas people need to be even more circumspect with cash and become even more time poor.
Another 6,000 plus crowd a distinct possibility mind which is great.
Some really good days out at the Bescot these days.
Well done to the club, the board and the owners. Wow.
Yeah, I don’t think we touch the attendance. They’ll do well to bring 1000 I reckon.
You’ll possibly have recorded todays pod, but something worthy of discussion is whether this is complete sacrilege and I need to go to “smaller clubs prison”. But I’m slightly more attracted to this game knowing it’ll be done and settled on the day. One way or another we’ll be through or out.
My football politics, my instinct tells me that doing away with replays is another disgraceful act of sabotage by the greedy bastards in the EPL and the spineless bastards at the FA. As an alumni of the Watford epic in the 80’s and hearing the stories of Man Utd in the 70’s I should be thoroughly ashamed of this little bit of me that is glad that the tie will be decided in one go.
How much of a word do I need to have with myself?
Brilliant. Definitely the right thing to do commercially.
Let’s aim for a crowd of 7,000 plus.
We can’t rely on a good Charlton following. If we all encourage floating friends and family to take up the offer and get behind the Super Saddlers it should be easily achievable.
Amazing what can be achieved when people with proven track records are employed in roles within their area of expertise.
The exciting thing is, this is only the start…
So far this season Charlton have an average away league attendance of 1,237. Their largest away following was 2,684.
Bolton’s is 1,040 - their biggest away day was 1,200 (the figures do not include their 1,571 against us).
On paper, Charlton might bring more. That said they do have to cross the Thames.
