Finally snapped

After 60 years of support, 30 years as Season Ticket holder and attending all home games and many away games this season, i have had enough. I was willing to give Saddler a chance, but the low possession based Hoofball is awful to watch. It is time to look for another Manager who can play decent football and give us sorry fans some entertainment.

Given the last two performances we will be lucky to finish in the top half of the table

I actually get quite envious when I see how other teams against us seem to be able to pass the ball around, probing for an opening, that final quality ball.

There is no fluidity to our play. I can’t remember when I last saw us string 10 passes together. A lot of our chances and good points are ‘one-offs’. I seriously believe we will struggle to make the playoffs if this continues.

Been supporting them for 50-odd years too, but the current football is a low point

How does Sadler not see what we all see , e.g. style of play, team selection, substitutions, purchases etc etc

I have just sent a long email to the club - I think that game last night broke me. It has tortured my soul with that style of anti-football.

In that email, I put in this image which I think is making me angrier.

We are the exact opposite of this.

Waste of time mate the SLO will filter that into Junk mail whilst having a laugh with Dame Biggins Pomlett about it.

I think many more supporters than will express views on this thread/forum have “finally snapped”. I myself have been a supporter for some 48 years and ST holder for virtually our entire residence at Bescot (with the odd season gap due to family/work commitments). I have found myself seriously considering WHY should I shell out another £400+ come the early bird when they is little hope of any decent entertainment and almost no hope of any financial clout on the pitch from the current ownership group. The Trivela figureheads have all retreated from any form of public leadership of the club so we can only hope they are working behind the scenes to find a buyer to relive them of their duties. The “takeover” hasn’t worked at all in a footballing sense given their blind loyalty to MS who is beyond useless in terms of coaching ability. Despite numerous directorships being installed under very dubious titles there simply isn’t any footballing brain at the head of the so called leadership. My own “blind loyalty” or “insanity” take your pick will see me head to Derbyshire in faint hope but zero expectation and have to say if I witness another performance like of late I will struggle not to be one of the “boo boys” as I genuinely believe it’s time to create a much stronger voice of our disappointment to Trivela, Sadler and many of the players.

Me to nearly done 50 years . Nearly didnt go last night but did. What a waste of time we play the same way match after match every one we play knows our system. Like for like subs no plan B. I cant remember the last time coming out a game Ive thought we have out played any body. We have been lucky more than out playing anybody. This needs to change we can all see it the press are starting more to see it and say it even WM where saying it last night so why cant the club. What pissed me off as well last night was Flint saying why are you Booing. Every one but the club can see it its a bloody joke.

Chaps, if you put your experiences here about this - I will collate them all and send them to the club

You have a longer fuse than many mate.

Here is my response,

The Management of the second half of last season was amateurish at best, those responsible should hang their heads in shame and outline what they have learned from the experience because as of today there is little evidence of anyone leaning anything.

Support has to be earned and is not a divine right, and based on the Trivela quote above, they are not achieving this “enjoyable watch”

If the budget is limited for the rest of this season…why?

They need to earn my future ST investment, but sadly I don’t think they care and that is the sad part!

Good luck Thanny but I don’t think this should go to Whittaker either, I don’t see the point of him, he is just a smoke screen.

I think if last season hadn’t happened then we may well be in a more positive mindset given our position even if the football is dire. My issue with the club over the summer not addressing the failures of the most spectacular bottlejob in the history of the football league is there wasn’t any closure, any feelings of lessons learnt. Just that we were unlucky and you should be grateful that we were near the top in the first place given we have no right to compete in this division due to our finances.

This is a fanbase desperate for any kind of success. Last season should have been our time, 2015/16 should have been our time and both times due to lack of investment blew it. What Flint doesn’t understand is the context of the grievance.

The match ended yesterday and the players were generally getting a good reception from the remaining dwindles of the crowd. Sadler came over and clapped and kind of huddled himself with the players so when the boos came the players were caught up in that. I thought it was poor tbh from Sadler. My frustrations are with whoever is responsible for this style of football (Sadler or Jordon) and repeated lessons of the past not being learnt.

But I do enjoy my days at the bescot, it’s just a shame about the 90 minutes in between the social aspect of it.

Will not be going again until he’s gone.

Any credit he had in the bank with me, evaporated after the play-off final loss. Should of been sacked after that.

I was really looking forward to my boy coming with me in the next couple of years, I’d off took the club up on offers like the link up deal for Accrington and Crawley to get him started - imagine anyone who had their first WFC experience Saturday and last night - would you return?

Im absolutely disgusted that we’ve been fed more bullshit whilst we’re getting radio silence from BB, Dame Pomfritte (why is he still here?) and even BS has gone quiet - perhaps for the best after the naivety shown when gobbing off last January.

Top 7 my arse.

EDIT: Spunked money on the likes of Warrington and Pressley and other signings such as Harper and Hollman - ZERO of them even made the squad last night. The mythical Matt Jordan and whoever else is part of this “recruitment team” need sacking off. Dross.

@Thanatos Where did you get the image?

Why aren’t the club challenging Jordan and Sadler on why they aren’t achieving this?

I entirely understand - apart from the odd moment here and there i haven’t found much excitement or interest out of the season so far.

Last season really did it for me - as a fan of 40+ years I thought this club had given me every kind of sporting disappointment there was to have - but as we all know, they somehow managed to find a way to plumb new depths! The league disaster was bad enough - but the Wembley trip was the final straw - for the second time I’d done multi-day travel (I live on an island off the far north coast off Scotland) to get to Wembley only to see the team deliver a total non-performance.

I’ve only continued to tune-in this season out of loyalty to my recently deceased Father and because it gives me a chance to spend time with my Son. Unfortunately that’s becoming increasingly difficult to maintain - as I watch the club continue to make the same mistakes over and over again, and the quality of entertainment plummets.

Sadler looks like a drowning man clutching at straws - he genuinely had something for the first half of last season (and I don’t just mean Nathan Lowe). Unfortunately whatever it was, it’s gone, and all I see is his increasingly desperate attempts to recapture it. This is why I think he sticks to the same old formula each week despite the results and performances - as far as he’s concerned he had something that worked, but it’s not working anymore - but he’s reluctant to change because he thinks if only he’s patient it will come back. The harsh truth is it’s not coming back, and the tactics need to change to reflect this. We’re only heading one way at the moment - and our initial good start is the only thing saving us at the moment. I genuinely worry about next season because we look and play like a bottom 4 side at the moment - and if this club drops out of the league, I would sincerely doubt it has the wherewithal to bounce back.

It was part of the letter Ben Boycott sent to fans back in 2023

I’m so angry after the last two home games with the total lack of football being played by Sadlers team.

It’s been building since last season to be honest, terrible hoofball and that capitulation.

The club is continuing to be very very lucky to be where they are now, position wise in the league playing as they do to be perfectly honest.

I’m getting sick of other teams coming and playing decent football and passing us off the pitch, just look at Crawley last night, we made them look like man city.

I’m now beginning to question if I should/will get another season ticket to watch this crap, I really am.

Trivela need to spend some serious money if they really want this club of ours to progress, unproven young strikers on loan aren’t always going to get them out the shite, as they are finding out now to our cost.

I won’t turn up week in week out anymore to fund something that they are prepared to just let tick over… if they dont want success, well sell it to someone else.

Oh for the local businessmen that wanted to buy the club from Bonser all those years ago, but he just wouldn’t let it go with all the money he bled from us, just don’t want it all happening again just under a different name.

Where are these local successful businessmen who support Walsall Football Club, are there any still out there?
If you are please consider taking over our club and bring some ambition to the place.

Either try and make us successful or do one please Trivela.

Sell us to someone with ambition for our football club , not ambition of making money from us.

Don’t want to keep hearing Sadlers excuses about us punching above where we should be in the league, with what other clubs are paying, that’s not covering up the atrocious lack of football he is making them play.

I haven’t always agreed with your posts. Probably wishful thinking. You are free to use any of my posts regarding this situation. If you need more information contact me as an off forum message. UTS

You know my feelings mate. This situation is crap. Like you I am seriously evaluating my support of the club.
