Fleetwood (A) - League Two - Jan 28th 7.45pm

Anyone going or thinking of it?

I’m in Stafford and thinking of either driving or jumping in if possible.

Only good thing about that ground is the bar in the main stand :beers::beers:

The Strawberry Gardens (official away pub) is decent and only a short walk from the ground. Syd Little and his missus used to run their bistro in the lounge, but I believe they’ve moved to their own pub/restaurant elsewhere in Fleetwood.

Would love to make it there but tricky on a school night and depends when i could get out of work, as well as how traffic may affect things!
Hopefully we’ll have a decent number there.

Yes really annoying that this and Carlisle are midweek matches

Plus Cheltenham, and possibly Gillingham away.

Doncaster is also a night game isn’t it?

Not great really.

Yeah, it definitely is annoying - I go to Carlisle most seasons, as it is a good chance to see and stay with a Carlisle-supporting mate I have up there. Can’t do it this year because of the midweek date! :disappointed:

I accept that our winning streak will come to an end at some point but if there’s one game above all the others I absolutely want us to win it’s the trip to Fleetwood.
We are so much better than any team I’ve seen this season and yet on that Tuesday night we lost 6 2 and I still find it mystifying how we lost by such a scoreline.
These things happen of course but we’ve played the likes of Notts County, Doncaster and the franchise off the park.
I hope we return the favour although the focus has to be on promotion (as champions preferably) but blimey let’s run up a big score.

I’ll be there. Should be a good game, these have got a good home record.

250 sold.

Don’t think we’ll sell this one out. :joy::joy:

Sky have started dictating kick off times which must be sligtlly more lucrative to lower league clubs short term. But long term results in lower crowds less money being spent at the grounds and more importantly the extra revenue will be of no use as it will just drive players wages up and it being more costly to watch your team in a less populated stadium with a lesser atmosphere.

Midweek and not easy to get to so selling out the terrace would be a success.

I went to this years ago and naively assumed it was only about 10 minutes up from Blackpool centre on the tram. Got on the tram about 2.45pm and so missed nearly the first 20 minutes as seemed like they were 30 stops before hitting the Stanley Road stop, was a dismal away loss under Whitney I think.

Don’t think we’ll get close to be honest.

500 tops methinks. As you say, crap time of year, long trek midweek.
