Fryatt Hotel Watch - 2021 Summer Transfer Rumours

Apparently Boudewijn who we were linked with is joining Sutton United.

Is it me or have the rumours linking us with players been very few and far between .

No. That’s just a rumour!

I presume the signing Positive Alice Springs isn’t materialising???

Jamie Proctor just signed for Vale. Good signing that.

All gone very quiet at the Bank’s.

This is the waste of money signing I’m glad we have stayed away from. 7 goals in 69 games over 5 years. Proves fail are throwing ■■■■ at a wall to see what sticks.

We could sign quite a few good players if it wasn’t for the rent paid to the jolly swagman

What we need is the E&S reporter to start asking the questions on incoming players . I’m certain talks are going on behind closed doors but after the seasons we’ve endured it would be good to be assured

I know stats can be misleading but Jamie Proctor has played 337 games and scored 52 goals- that’s an average of only 7/8 per full season.
Including loan spells, Fail will be his 14th club- seems rather a lot.
I know he’s played at a higher level than L2 but he’s hardly set the world alight. I don’t think we’ve missed out on much to be honest.

And ask about Jayden Campbell.

No new signings again… would have thought we would have had some considering we have a friendly on saturday

I know people say don’t worry about signings yet etc etc but we can’t even put out a proper full team yet without shooing kids or play coaches in the team somewhere or players out of position. Haven’t even got an actual left back or striker
Sorry but after the optimism after the first 4 quality signings can’t help the optimism fading slightly

I hate saying I told you so, but I told you so!!
Budget mostly spent on first 4 signings to entice season ticket sales. Now waiting on loans and trialists. Good signings so far, but pre-season training must be difficult when the numbers are down. All that early optimism is quickly draining away. I bet the season ticket sales are no better than last season. There’s a hell of a lot to be done before Saturday, unless things start moving.

Like I say I was one of the most positive ones regarding time given to complete the squad but even I’m losing a little optimism, not that that matters to most people obviously because I ain’t nothing special but all I’m saying is your not alone with your thoughts.I’m also not massively keen on loads and loads of loan signings I agree with them to give first team players the odd rest or to be in the starting line up for the papa johns but I’d rather have a full compliment of 11 starters and a couple of our subs on our actual books if that makes sense.

I hope we get a couple more in this week. We are way short of a competitive squad at the moment and like others I am not keen on numerous loan players. We certainly need 3 permanent signings at least at left back, centre half and centre forward.

I don’t share the negativity about our loan transfer dealings over the last two seasons.

It could have been so much worse.

Just imagine if we’d signed Yaw, Sheron, Gaffney and Scrimshaw on permanent deals!!!

We signed them all on 3 month-1 year loans, that was enough :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:
