I wish people would calm down. There is a lot of decent players out there right now that will be leaving / negotiating new moves. I would rather take the time and get in the right personnel than rush things. We are playing Leamington first, good opportunity for the younger type players to feel there feet again.

I don’t get the 5 a side comments at all. There were a few pre seasons under DS when that applied and also that odd Keates pre season when he was still trialling about 3 CBs in the final pre season game at Cheltenham but with over a month until the season starts the team can comfortably put out a first 11 even if I don’t want to see some of those players played in some positions I’ve listed.
And before you start no it isn’t good enough to get in top 7 but hopefully the next 3-4 coming in will push the team into that place of contention.

There’s one coach in that side and 3 (in my opinion 4) players playing out of position.
Tyreik Wright signs a new deal at Villa along with 6 others of their under 23s.
Enzio Boldewijn signs for Sutton
Mixed reviews on him. Kind of glad he hasn’t signed for us. Sounds very much like McDonald turns up 1 in 4. I read an article a few weeks back when we were linked and one of the coaches made a comment and then left the club. Probably tear the league up next year now I’ve said I’m glad we haven’t signed him lol
Would prefer Tyriek Wright back on loan.
Why? I personally thought he was pretty average, would hope we could use our allocated loans on better quality

Under the new setup I feel we would see a much more consistent Tyriek Wright.
MT told us last week that they are not only looking for good players, they are also looking for good people too.
We’ve had too many decent footballers, over the years, with bad attitudes. The management team don’t want any toxicity in the squad whatsoever which makes the task of recruitment more difficult.
I would have liked to more signings by now, but I understand what they are trying to do here (building a promotion team) is not easy and often takes more time than we’d like.

think he showed glimpses of being a really good player. Puts good deliveries in from set pieces, could beat a man. Plus he wont be playing for the ego maniac or Brian Dutton and would hopefully have a clear role. Under DC/BD I am sure he ended up playing wing back at some point in some games

I wouldn’t mind him coming back either. Looked promising in a poor side last year with no real guidance on his roles and expectations. Clearly fits in with some of the lads still at the club aswell as someone posted the other day he was out with some of the squad.

Gensanx123 is back. Being staying with Jb in Cyprus. Bet ks hammer is pleased. Right observations. Massively impressed with first 4 signings and at that point I was actually really pleased with Pomlett. Day by day enthusiasm is slowly evaporating and the cynic in me is starting to now question whether this was a ploy to shift season tickets and we’ve actually blown the majority of the budget! Bloody hope not. We need to sign at least 6 players in my view to have anything like a decent squad to compete for the top 7.

Have to hold my hands up to feeling just a tiny bit duped on that front to be fair. I brought a season ticket due to their, to be fair, brilliant fast track campaign and after seeing the signings was possibly a little bit carried away and thought why not. I’m still pleased with the value, it will actually turn out cheaper than just paying for games I can attend, but the signings before and after (and lack there of) have been striking.
More signings will come for sure, the standard of them I am less confident about seeing their more recent business.

I’m pretty patient and supportive of the club. But I’m starting to get to a point now where I’m getting fed up of seeing a post everyday of the season ticket campaign. Sure fans will want nothing more than to get back to live football. The larger clubs around us surely will be sold out so fans will attend with friends to teams like us. Let’s capitalise on this. Also you would think larger away followers catching up on their football fix. Let’s put on a show and try get good crowds by having a good squad with quality signings. We need to see some signings soon and stop keep sounding desperate with season ticket sales!
