Squad of 18 players already, by the looks of that we could probably do with another six.
Four permanent signings with experience and two quality loans and I think we’ll be fine.

I notice Jayden Campbell is on that list. I don’t think he has signed. If he has I have missed it.
No idea on him, didn’t even realise he was out of contract.
He was offered a deal alongside Foulkes and Coogan but there is no news of him signing it.
2 more strikers a centre back and a left back and a couple of loans for me.
It’s not numbers of bodies (including 5 very raw youngsters in that 18 by the way), it’s positions, we have gaping holes in the first team, never mind the squad.

If the 3/4 were to come in this week I’d be more comfortable, however if they roll up a week before the first game we might start slow.

All depends on what system we play this season, people are assuming we’re going to be starting 4231, but seeming as we’re heavy in midfield, maybe we’re going to play something totally different.
It doesn’t matter what system we play, none of them fit no left backs, 6 central midfielders, no left wingers and one centre forward, per your list. How many times that has to be pointed out to this I don’t know. The system is irrelevant to the fact that we need way more players. He could be playing whatever system he wanted, that will still be the case.
Don’t you think that would be a bit of a luxury considering the financial state at the moment @el_nombre ?

3 players is no where near enough. As el nombre has pointed out.

No not really. Pretty sure we should be able to afford the bare minimum for a squad, that would be quite a feeble excuse. Financial state is the same for everybody, and we’re lead to believe they pulled the plug on last season to preserve us and be in a better position than other clubs on our level going forward so I’d be pretty racked off if that excuse is used.
I think 4 players would be about right.
I’d be keen to see the other 2/3 we might be missing coming from our youth setup.
I’d also like to think a bit of the budget would be left for January and a push for promotion.

Coogan, Leak, Faulkes, Campbell, Willis and Perry is more than enough youth to be relying on. I’d rather we went for promotion from August rather than Jan personally.

I’d rather have 4 players of genuine quality than 7/8 of questionable experience and quality.
