Is Barrett suspended tomorrow?
Yes and next weekend.
Who is our reserve keeper for Saturday
Chris Marsh…
George Barrett
Never need one I wouldn’t even put one on the bench
Looking forward to a steady 1-2 away win, and also Bradford at best getting a draw but hopefully losing, Taking us up to 6 points clear again. Resulting in slightly less stress for the worried, but probably not…
We were glad we had one on the bench at Scarborough.
It would be nice for Bradford to drop points, but I’d take 3 points for us and not be too worried about the rest. We really need a win now, if we could get that on Saturday I would feel a lot better about it all.
I’m trying to remember games Marshy ended up in goal.
I think he did against Brighton in the tin pot cup, when Mark Gayle got sent off, and I also have in my mind against Barnsley when Sir Ray was manager. Probably others as well that have slipped my mind.
Northampton away, over Xmas 1997, when John Gayle kicked Jimmy in the head and after ten or twelve minutes they couldn’t control the bleeding and he had to go off. We outplayed them, but I think they had four shots on target and three went in. I’m not bitter or anything.
Edited to add that John Gayle was a twunt.
Yeah, I’m just hoping that we suddenly click back into being unbeatable and get to the title at a casual unstoppable undefeated stroll.
But we need to win a couple to keep clear, draws ain’t going to cut it. That said draws against Vale, Wimbledon and Donny would be passable, as that would just about keep us in front. Win the homes plus this one and we’re well safe.
Yes, it is usually keepers that come off worse - apart from the odd occasions (Liam Roberts, Schumacher, etc)!!
I don’t know why, but I feel fairly calm about this game. The players have had 9 days since the last game, time for niggling injuries to heal and tired minds and bodies to recover. I hope we attack them. I remember from the home game that they like to control possession- we need to get in their faces and pressure them high up the field - I think we can get some joy there. 2-1 to the Super Saddlers.
He did once at Bescot after Walker was sent off early on for handling outside the box. I cannot remember the opponents but we were 1-0 up at one stage but crumbled in the end.
Sheff Utd ,I think.
Its going to be a hard game against a well organised team with a very experienced manager. Lots of players all of the world at present and suspensions to the Star Man who runs down the wing… therefore 3:1 win to the Saddlers
Harrison is out
dj should start but expect it will be albert partnering matt
I don’t really know what will happen tomorrow. I would like to think the players coming in will have something to prove so I hope we are going to win.2-0 will do.
Every time we have a prolonged break we never seem to come back energised, always lethargic and tho we’ve never played together before…. Prove me wrong boys this time!
