What players have we got that will be called up?
Simkin, Big Dave, Liam Gordon, Comley. Have the call ups been made, cos they probably can’t go for it to be called off unless they have been called up.
Tuchel is due to name his first England squad on Friday, so guess it will be the same for other countries.

I imagine that is when it will be announced then. Unless we decide to go ahead anyway, I can’t see that happening though.
Wales and Scotland already named their squads. Surely need to give a week’s notice at least so would guess either tomorrow or Friday morning they’ll be 100% confirmation as clubs get notified before news makes the press.

Just play the game. The 9 day gap should be rest enough, Hornby and Weir are borderline deserving of a start and if postponing a game to then clutter up the last week of the season with a long midweek trip depend on Dave’s availability we really are overthinking.

I also think not playing will add more pressure, as it allows other teams to close the gap.
I think it affected us in 2015/16 when international callups meant we were always games behind Burton. Much better to be playing at the same time as your rivals in my opinion.

He was talking up his chances of an u21s call up recently. Maybe he is in that squad?

IIRC he’s not a member of the Under 20’s squad, he usually plays in the England Elite squad instead.
EDIT: He’s not been named in that squad either.

Only Simkin and Okagbue will count towards the three player rule for a postponement, that’s if Montserrat and Guyana don’t have a game, which i don’t think they do.
Lipsuic and Wheatley don’t count as they haven’t started 3 of the last 5 or played 60% of total minutes.
Different rules for U21s and below.
Allegedly, the inference from the club at this point is that this game will go ahead. Maybe why Hornby played yesterday.
