Grimsby Town (H) March 8th, kick-off 12.30pm

Sadler got outdone tactically again today. add in the fact so many players are way off it and you get what happened today. We’ll be lucky to make the play offs if we carry on defending and attacking like that. Poor beyond belief.

So why loan him? Also he’s played loads of under21/23 games for blues. So don’t come with that.

Can’t comment on the match as out of the country and couldn’t get the streaming services to work
But I’m now angry and frustrated and annoyed we have let it get to this

It’s done. This team look shot and devoid of ideas or a clear identity.

Play offs will be pointless as we cannot even beat Carlisle. It will then be another 3 years or so minimum in this division as this side will need rebuilding. Most of the out of contract players will move on, as it appears some have already checked out ……… looking at you Barrett.

Plus Sadler is on three years so getting rid of him will not be an option. I’m struggling to see any glimmers of light at the moment

Second to every single ball and whenever we get the ball, we give it away instantly.

Very disappointing, onto the next one.

Well I think Wheatley was doing comms in one of the games he was omitted for shortly after arriving and he mentioned an injury but then Sadler was then asked about it and was more vague.

Man. United just given him a new deal so the expectation when he was loaned was he’d be involved in every single game even if not starting.

When you are omitting players like that and starting a 37 year old upfront who hasn’t even played that role since his Villa days (2018) you really need to keep getting results otherwise those decisions will start to stick out like a sore thumb.

Disorganised shambles of school boy football. Even when we went one nil up you knew the way they played we would concede. Our defence is dreadful. How many goals have we conceded in the last 10 games? Midfield run around doing nothing. Forward line is impotent.
Anyone who blames the ref for the first goal I must disagree. We left a guy on the edge of the box AGAIN and never closed him down. How on earth is that the refs fault?
Simple changes in team selection and game management over the last 10 games and we would have coasted to promotion without doing anything spectacular…
This is on Sadler.
We were beaten today by a far better and organised team who could pass to each other. We offered nothing.
We have blown it and will not go up. Will be surprised if the changes we need to turn us in to a promotion outfit will actually take place and wonder if the people are at the club to make those key changes and judgments.
UP THE SADDLERS

Whatever it still more realistic than blaming it on buying Silkeborg.
We’re all pissed off but there’s no need to act like a fool.

I can only think Sadler just wants to get over the line with Lakin-Stirk-Comley etc.

However not to even have him on the bench and giving him 20/30 minutes regularly is odd as how is he supposed to get matchfit?

Promotion might still be only five wins away?

Would Sadler even be kept for the play offs if going into them with one win in fifteen or something ridiculous? I’m sure Barnsley last season sacked their manager a week before the play offs as their form going into it was so bad. And we have the S O’D example from 2015/16.

Try it then.

Keep excusing it all you want, I’ve only stated fact.

Ok but who are we going to beat ? Failed against Swindon , Carlisle, Cheltenham and Grimsby.

Don’t fancy our chances against the likes of Notts, Dons or Vale

Oh, dear

Is 68 points enough for a play off spot?

Serious question. I’m not saying we’re going to pointless over the next 10 games or so but what do you generally need points wise when looking back over the last few seasons?

Long balls and kick and rush from us. It was like how you used to play in the playground at school. Where did this come from? Where has our formation and approach gone?
Things which we never gone punished for before such as not blocking crosses and shots, leaving players unmarked on the edge of the box, not clearing the ball first time when it comes into the box are now starting to bite us on the bum!!
Will Sadler make any “knee jerk” reactions after 11 games of crap?
UP THE SADDLERS

If we fall into the play offs we will get absolutely smashed. We have to go up automatic.

We will need 2 wins to make the play offs. Not looking likely at the moment. Plus it’s kind of irrelevant going into the playoffs with the worst form in the division

This is very reassuring I was thinking it was us I can sleep easy tonight. Now . Onward and forward .

Agree 100%

Harrogate, Newport and Accy in last four is a decent run in. Three who will probably be safe so nothing to play for.

Obviously need a couple of wins before that.
