‘Mass outbreak of premature bed-wetting in West Midlands proved pointless as West Yorkshire giants fail to live up to reputation’
It’s easy to cheer the team when you’ve won 3 on the bounce. It’s much harder and needed more when your in a poor run. Get behind the lads. They wear our shirt and they need us to roar them on.
I think the crowd were superb today.
Awful performance but we kept trying to urge them on.
Don’t mistake our mood on here with how we support the team in the ground.
The team couldn’t wish for better backing.
Maybe if we had got up a head of steam, the noise levels would have gone up a bit more. Did their keeper make a save in the second half? It works both ways.
Definitely
We’ve had a little get out of jail moment today - so lucky with the other results
We need to make the most of this situation now and sort out our shit and get back to playing as we know we can
Rest Barrett and Stirk and shake the thing up a bit….
Atleast tiredness shouldn’t be an excuse after today, we now only have one game in the next three weeks.
Might do some of them some good.
Other results have gifted us half of a get-out-of-jail card. Let’s make that count before the final wheel comes off
Exactly this! I can’t see where our next win is coming from.
never a foul I was right by it he fell over the ball and lino didn’t give it either.
Havent read above so probably saying the same thing.
Barret needs resting. His performance today would be summed up as ‘a slight inconvenience to the opposition’.
Jamma came on with zero protection from ref. All teams need to do is give him a shove just before he nods-on. It becomes a lottery to where the ball lands. A lottery the opposition won everytime today.
No point putting DJ if there are no balls coming into the box. Need to change style of play.
Grimsby players should wear protective headgear as it seems the draft of a passing player leads to them getting a cerebral hematoma.
Refs are always nobs. But todays offering was weapons grade.
The best today was Bradford losing and a fat Grimsby Ultra being shouted down by a 5 stone local girl.
Sorry to say that I’m pleased there is break until next home match.
Only supporting Walsall can you be miserable when your team is top of the league. Mad innit?
Be helpful if he actually tried to play the ball some times, though. I think he has been fantastic this season and a big part of how well we have done. He looks more like the player that played when we first signed him recently. Probably knackered. I don’t think he was expected to play so many minutes this season.
So who would step up? In midfield Comley came on but was extremely poor. Others were not much better.
A change of formation might be needed. Teams have found out our pattern of play.
In lies the problem. We haven’t tried a Plan B all season. What makes you think Mat will start now?
Don’t tell Sadler that.
Blaming the crowd is absolutely pathetic!
Probably one of the lowest excuses you could think of.
This is a reply to your post no. 576.
You are quite correct. Effort does not always have to be running around all game and sweating and being out of breath. Sometimes you have to put the effort into thinking what you are doing and why and making sure you do the basic things we were all told to do when we were around 11 years old. We are our own worst enemies at times.
UP THE SADDLERS
sadler responsible no one else.
Can’t defend Sadler for his lack of rotations since January or the suspect recruitment or the 2 centre halfs alongside a defensive midfielder in midfield, at home whilst trailing but I am going to stick my head above the parapet here and say that I don’t think he criticised the fans in the interview. I didn’t interpret it that way. I believe he referred to how for maybe the first time this season the players didn’t back each other and stay together after conceding. They chucked it in a bit. A fair bit of arm waving and blaming going on amongst themselves and we reacted poorly to conceding the first the second hust looked inevitable. and apparently Stirk ran staight down the tunnel without handshakes when subbed.
Just a straw poll after that shixxfest. Who was the biggest most incompetent nob today?
Was it the referee who must have come on the Grimsby coach with them or was it our Mr. Sadler?
It’s a close call but as most of the referees at this level (Carlisle game excluded) are full on cretins who have never played the game and can be fooled by Artell type teams, my vote goes to Sadler.
This is not a one game scenario where we were outplayed and out thought by the opposition. This slide has been happening for 5 or 6 weeks where a competent manager would have flexed and rested players who are nackered or have lost form and even dare I say considered using the likes of Weir and DJ and others and played a more solid formation without wing backs. Sadler is a one trick pony who is now hinting that it’s the crowds fault in his diatribe of verbal diarrhoea post match. As the big boss was there today to witness the incompetence of his head coach he might be feeling the heat. I hope he is. It’s not a good look in the month of the Early Birds.
