They havn’t scored a goal in an away game for 7 fixtures stretching back to January.
They’ve scored 13 goals in 21 away games, the lowest in the entire league, and 3 of them came in their first away fixture, so that’s 10 in the last 20.
I know we are not literally dependent on other teams results YET, but I think it will turn out that way,the Newport game will be most important games for years.
A comprehensive 3-0 romp for me and the season very much back on track. We really couldn’t handpick a better opponent for Friday, no excuses 3 points is an absolute necessity and will probably put us within a victory of the promised land of automatic promotion. Looks like a bumper 6,500+ audience in store.
My first ever visit to a match at the Bescot Stadium. 3 of us coming down from Harrogate/Leeds for this. I first went to a game at Fellows Park in 1956 and i have now reached the ripe old age of 80. Come on lads , please do it for me and all over 80 supporters. 1-0 will be fine. UTS
My lucky shirt has let me down the last couple of home games not to mention Barrow.
So do I stick with it hoping it comes good again or do I twist and start a fresh with another shirt!!!
Help and advice needed
Perhaps a poll
No lucky shirts or underwear, no statistics and no presences or absences are going to win it for us, only commitment and passion. Or, perhaps, a ref biased in our favour…
It can’t be understated how much we battered them away in December (on a fun and ridiculously windy away day!), but so much has changed since then. I still fear that we won’t win this one.
Let’s be optimistic and say 2-1, with a dramatic last-minute winner that sparks us back into life for the final three games.
My lucky socks that worked so well the first half of the season are no more. I was having to wear them over another pair of socks. Unfortunately they died.
We were quite a bit into our blip by the time they went though, so maybe they weren’t lucky, but it didn’t stop me wearing worn out socks on match days for 5 months!
