Jamma was run into the ground November/ December. We should not be having to rely on him in the way we have.
You are absolutely right. But I don’t think the owners have any clue on just how catastrophic a failure if this scale might be.
For me it will be a measure of there knowledge of the game will be what they do once tjis sh!tshow os over.
You simply cannot expect incremental growth next season after this and as you rightly say even if we were 18 points clear at Christmas (we won’t be) we will all be just waiting for the wheels to fall off.
They need to understand ymthat once our fate is confirmed his race will be run.
They keep droning out this stronger together rubbish and the only team with anything like consistency currently is the supporter, as I said at the game today we cannot win the game, that happens on the pitch…out of our control.
What is being attempted is the definition of insanity and I am getting bored of hearing it is because Lowe went back.
The recall does not make the defenders unable to defend and the midfield unable to create, that is on the coaching team.
We will go into the play offs as the worst team in the division by some way unless a miracle happens over the next 3 games, the others will be praying they play us, because it is easy, the worst team I have seen at Bescot proved that today.
We simply do not look anything like a promotion team and that will not be solved by a plonker on the sidelines with his arms folded and the total inability to change anything doing the same thing.
Rant over.
Should probably give it 3 games
I didn’t cheer the equalizer. Hadn’t got the heart to. I just stood with my arms folded. I can’t cheer bottle jobs
Bet you were hoping for the win though, and I’m certain had that gone in the Poundland stand would have collapsed.
Yay we are 3 points off top … we were 12 clear with a game in hand you muppet. The fans have been amazing, just look at the attendances.
Win? We won’t get one of those again this season
Again nonsense. Weir was there for the match and was around an hour or more afterwards
I don’t understand folk at times….
At a point where we’re all hurting, all some folk wanna do is gloat….
Never mind - maybe they’ve nowt better to do….
We’ve been defending like that for weeks, Wimbledon, Vale…the list goes on. Off the top of my head the main culprit has been Gordon, he seems to have lost the ability to clear the ball.
DJ was in the stands also during the game
Yep, sorry. Meant to say DJ as well.
It just shows how these ridiculous rumours go around
When we were 12 points clear in January, how many points clear of 4th were we? 13/14/15 points?
I don’t think any league club has been that far ahead and not been promoted (as opposed to winning the league).
I’m sure someone like Bernie will pop up and tell us.
Don’t Leeds do it most years?
Well, well, well. What a performance today, wasn’t it? A hard fought 2-2 draw at home to Harrogate Town, who – lest we forget – hadn’t managed to score an away goal since January. But hey, who needs wins when we can churn out masterful displays like this? A real statement of where we are as a club.
I mean, let’s all just take a moment to appreciate the tactical genius of Sadler. Long balls galore, complete with that utterly refined technique where we play the ball directly into the hands of the opposition – it’s bold, it’s risky, and most importantly, it’s exactly what the game needs right now. Who needs intricate passing, creativity, or structure when you can just launch the ball to no one in particular? It’s practically avant-garde football. Picasso would be jealous of that long-ball masterpiece today. Truly.
Now, I know some of you are probably thinking, “But CompletelySaddled, isn’t this the same team that was 13 points clear at the top of the league in January?” Yes, yes it is. But, as I’ve always said, it’s all about the bigger picture. Who cares about a minor detail like winning games? We’re clearly in the midst of a long-term project. And let’s be honest, a 2-2 draw at home to 18th-placed Harrogate Town is exactly the sort of performance that screams “promotion contenders.” Nothing says “we’re going up” like being completely outplayed by a side that couldn’t score away from home for months. It’s inspirational, really.
Now, I have to say, I’m thrilled with the football we’re seeing right now. If there’s one thing Sadler’s managed to perfect, it’s creating an environment where hope isn’t just a four-letter word, it’s a luxury. Just look at those long passes to absolutely no one, the complete absence of attack, and the defence that looks as organized as a toddler’s birthday party. Who needs to score when you can ‘almost’ score, right?
But I know, I know. Some of you might be thinking, “Where’s CompletelySaddled been? Is he hiding from the inevitable collapse of this ‘project’?” I’ll admit, it’s been tough to watch – tough, like watching a mime perform in a hurricane. But let’s not let the minor setback of 11 games without a win cloud our judgment. Sadler’s plan is still coming together, just like the finest soufflé – slow, careful, and destined for greatness… eventually.
So, to the doubters and the quick-to-judge – yes, we’ve now gone 11 games without a win, and yes, we’ve only won twice in 18 matches. But, as I’ve said time and time again, it’s all part of Sadler’s vision. Rome wasn’t built in a day, folks. And if you think this long-ball, defensive mess is anything but a sign of progress, then you’ve got another thing coming.
Here’s to Sadler’s brilliance. Let’s keep the faith – or at least keep pretending we do – because it’s all part of the journey. And remember, no one said getting promoted would be easy. Or, in our case, possible.
Blame lies totally on sadlers shoulders being stupid and stubborn not having a plan B.And most of all mismanaging the biggest squad we have had in years to a point that they are shot which resulted in below par performances and a complete loss of confidence
Get out this club ms before we end up non league
Wish I hadn’t listened to the interview. I was seething but now I’m raging.
If he can’t see that other than the first 10 and last 10 of todays game we were abysmal I give up.
It’s like he’s in a parallel universe or just in total denial.
Come on Coop63 you’re a sensible bloke. We all want Walsall up. Regardless of who the manager is or if we have to endure the play offs. I’d take promotion now and would endure this clown as our gaffer for a while longer as a result.
But if you’ve been subjected to stick - you are entitled to give it back. I’d argue it’s not gloating. More of a shoulder shrug and told you so.
This is class, would be great to know who you are, I have a suspicion based on your writing style.
Thanks for cheering us all up!
I didn’t dare look at the table but finally got around to braving it. out of context what a position we are in, given the fixtures it’s probably technically in our hands. but it’s 3 wins in 18, no wins in 11 and I think I read we have dropped 17 points from winning positions since January.
It was pretty heartbreaking being in that stadium today wondering how we got ourselves into this position where the negativity was so overwhelming (this isn’t a dig at the fans, it is what it is). The options Sadler had to rotate, target wins and generally achieve a lower mid table run of form since January has evaporated. Suddenly he needs players who have been frozen out to perform and those whose legs and confidence went long ago to perform in equal measure. I don’t see how we turn this around. If we finish in the playoffs there is zero chance we get promoted. Saying all that, I’ll desperately be trying to find a ticket for Monday, football is funny like that. UTS.
