Good post, with the exception of that. Harrison did absolutely nothing. Ditto last week.
There are three persistent posters on Twitter who recently admitted they would rather Sadler sacked than us get promoted with him as manager.
Two that said they didn’t want him and didn’t rate him even when we were doing well.
On this board it’s more balanced but we probably only represent 10% of the most engaged of the fan base.
I agree with all you say and hope he does go for the sake of the club. However, if he turns it around and we win the league and start well next year then all is forgiven.
I find it weird people think Sadler is a knob and the same people want a Derek Adams or Karl Robinson / that fat ex Rotherham manager.
I did @Dornansog I warned about the dangers of ignoring warning signs “just because we were top I was being ott and negative” I take no pride in being right I’d rather be wrong. But when your called a troll or wind up merchant for having a valid (and right) opinion I will remind folks. Especially when some of it was not in jest and pretty personal in its nature.
Typical Sadler interview. Fans like @BillyBescot will have lapped it up and took it all in and be ready to go again for the collective
See you at Newport Mat Sadler. Hope we start well or you’ll be getting some serious stick
I just find it unfathomable that here we have a manager on an awful run of 2 wins in 18 - which under ANY other circumstances would see him given the boot, but because we are in with a chance of promotion, he doesn’t get sacked?
Someone talk me through the logic here cos I’m failing to see it
It was one game
What was, that we had to ask permission to play him and for how long?
Sorry - I don’t think so.
It was one game we were told that was the case.
If you want to believe that hasn’t been the case for every other game, I’ve got a bridge to sell you
Do you still think Sadler is a brilliant manager ?
Fear and inexperienced football people at the top of the club.
Leam Richardson is unemployed…
But then had we won today is that just postponing the calls for his head.. if we go up are we just papering over the cracks.
I think so.
Sadler will never win back this fan base.
I think the whole “permission” thing is a misnomer.
Birmingham gave us a rehab plan on the amount of minutes he should be playing as he comes back and we are following it as to not want to burn bridges with them by playing Hall too much and then he ends up injured for another 9 months.
We don’t need to make up things to attack Sadler and the club for - there are plenty of other things to attack them for.
Mat Sadler has only himself to blame for that.
I believe so based on the fact we were, for however short a time is was, 13 points clear of 2nd. No team has ever let that many points go.
Id agree with that.
LGs stupid pass killed us. JJs loose balls killed the momentum.
Heard DJ and Weir were seen walking away from the stadium before kickoff - what the hell is happening behind the scenes !
Just.see the Harrogate 1st goal again. That is as bad as it gets. Not even Sunday League standard. Shocking!
Add it to the Barrow 1st goal and you can see why we are not winning anymore.
Not sure what that has to do with George Hall, but to answer your question, yes and no.
Did brilliantly to get us in the position we were in and has done brilliantly to nearly give it away.
Easy for fans to say he’s a shit manager when we aren’t winning, but the same people never praised him when we were winning.
Yup. Already brushed it off and ready for Monday.
Was a mixture of boo’s and clapping
It was inevitable since MK Dons.
Yep thats how I feel at the moment. I’ve had it up to the eyeballs with this shambles of a club. We waited nearly 20 years for another promotion and we could have gone up as record breakers ! My mate said in January that it would take a monumental implosion to not win the league, to which I said this is Walsall and I bet you good money thats exactly what we will do.
And has failed since to adapt, learn from mistakes and make changes as players are struggling.
Good managers have a Plan B, C, D or E - Sadler doesnt.
Good managers can change formation or adapt to how other teams set up/change mid-game. Sadler can’t.
Its 3-5-2 and you will fookin like it.
