Help -Watching overseas - streaming

Hi

Need help

I’m in Greece and want to watch the match tonight.

My hotel doesn’t have sky sport and the nearest sports bar is too far away with the time difference of +2 hours…10pm kick off.

So i need a live stream on my smart phone

I can’t seem to find the link to watch the game on the Walsall website. Only an audio pass.

Can someone recommend a link to a streaming service I can use tonight to watch the saddlers progress to Wembley

Thanks

UTS

Hi m8,you can Download now tv on your phone and there’s a 7 day free trial ,Worth a try sky sports should be on there. Should be on saddlers plus if your abroad too but I guess you’ve already tried that .

Cheers

I thought NOWTV is UK only so you wont be able to stream it via a Greece location?

Maybe wrong but make sure you check it before shelling out

Oh right I didn’t know that :man_shrugging:, the page I get on the web site is like this ,obviously won’t let me click cause of being in uk

Just read up on now tv , you would need a vpn to watch it aboard . Someone must know a stream to watch it

Install a Vpn. Surfshark is good but you have to pay for it. Change your location to basically anywhere thats NOT the uk. Then youll be able to purchase the match and watch it.

Try this dutch one it works in UK, and had the first leg.

Streams advertised like that are generally rubbish and never work. You either need an iptv service or purchase it using the method described above

You are correct, I deffo didn’t watch the either of the first leg nor the Newport game on that, in no way and not for free.

Yep im correct. Streams advertised like that full of phising, malware and spam. useless. Be prepared to pay 50 quid for a hard reset when your device eventually crashes !!!

Try Windscribe VPN - their free 10GB per month package (per e-mail address you register) is more than enough to stream a game in high resoltion, and their paid for packages are reasonable if you want to use it for a full season. There have plenty enough servers to appear just about anywhere else in the world if you are in the UK (for Saddlers+), or in the UK if you are abroad (Now etc).

Be aware though that Saddlers+ (and probably all the other legit sources like Now or Sky Sports+) does state that if they detect use of a VPN then they may block your stream without refund. I know that the whole point of a VPN is to avoid detection but apparently they do have techniques to spot VPN use (e.g. certain IP ranges and port patterns used become well known) - so you just need to hope that whichever provider you go for is 1 step ahead of them in the arms race. And it might only be certain servers that become compromised so if you do find yourself blocked try others before giving up.

Can detect some VPNs. The cheapo and free ones. The expensive ones such as Surfshark and Nord. Impossible to detect

Nope - even Surfshark and Nord themselves say that they can be:

https://nordvpn.com/blog/how-to-detect-vpn/

I use tunnelbear. never had a problem.
make sure you do the whole log-in thing with tunnel bear protecting you though. If you log in first from the uk it will remember where you were and block you.

If you do, just clear your browser history and cookies, then enable tunnel bear select a location outside of UK and go login again…

I will be away in Madrid for the final, would it work if I took my fire stick and plugged it in to the TV in the hotel room?

Yeah I’ve used this site a few times, vipleague is also good.

It should do as you are abroad.

Sorry - that’s assuming you are using Saddlers+ (which I don’t think is native to Firestick but can be sideloaded).

If you are using Now/SkySports+ then you need a VPN to appear to be in the UK.
