Hereford (H) - Sat 12th Jul, Midday (BCD Friendly)

I’m sure I saw it was being played at Bescot.

I recall tickets were sold in advance then Walsall announced fans could pay on the gate.
When we got there, Hereford were only expecting tickets, so had no cash facilities on the gates.
Ticket holders were allowed in while they sorted the cash floats, to allow payments to be made.
All very messy and I recall the exit gates being opened at one point, with some fans getting in for free.

I recall it was feisty whenever we went anywhere close around then…Hereford, Shrewsbury, Fail…much more so than going to the Dingles or Baggies I recall. Possible exception being the Blues.

Yes, it was the only Saturday home friendly so a bit irritating it’s behind closed doors.

I have a memory of going to Hereford on a Tuesday night in the Hibbitt era - auto windscreen shield or whatever they called it in those days. It was about minus 3 - but a superb rendition of Minnie the Moocher. Can’t remember the score!

Got bitten by a police dog as it kicked off as I was leaving the ground in the early 80’s.

No idea why it’s got to be behind closed doors especially for a saturday game !!!
Just the kind of pre season game i would have been interested in attending rather than the boring routine villa game .
i’m sure Hereford fans feel the same and would have come in decent numbers .

Small turnstiles and big supporters if I remember.

Same

Would have loved to have gone there today, lovely weather for it.

Have to make do with the glamour of Nailsworth in two weeks.

So just to confirm this is actually kicking off in 20 minutes at Bescot? Surprisingly level of secrecy about this, perhaps Lalkovic is playing as a trialist in this one…!

Just looked on Hereford’s twitter. Seems it kicked off at 11:00 due to heat and is at Essington training ground (not Bescot)

How do you know Bags?

Nothing on Bet365.

In UK friendlies Wigan must’ve kicked off at 10am as they are 1-1 with Curzon Ashton and it is already at 88 minutes.

Stockport beating Bristol Rovers 2-0, at the hour mark so that was a 10.30am kick off.
