strange one this, anyone know why its behind closed doors?
So trialists D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P don’t get recognised, keeping under close quarters so nobody else gets dibs

I am guessing it will be more like a training match, maybe not many first team players present. Seems a bit odd though playing it on a Saturday, with the season closing in fast.

Looking at Hereford’s pre-season schedule they don’t seem to have any home games, with the possible exception of Leicester U21s at the end of the month. Maybe issues with the pitch?
Not saying it’s the reason for playing behind closed doors, but wasn’t there some issue with Walsall fans not being able to get in when we played Hereford back in 2006/7?
Yeah, way more than expected turned up, had to funnel loads into a seating area.

Even if that were the case it wouldn’t be an issue this time around as it’s at Bescot.

yeah assumed the same re more of a training match etc but they normally hold them at St George’s or at the ground without badging them a friendly. Maybe because its a saturday pre season in the middle of other friendlies they wanted to be clear they were playing so people weren’t moaning about a free saturday when others had games.
It was always a bit feisty going to Hereford.
I have a great story about Walking/Hitching a lift to Hereford with my Dad, around 1993 I think it was.
I can’t remember if I ever told it, one of my best memories following Walsall.

surprised at that this will be his 3rd season with them I think, I thought he had 1 maybe 2 seasons left in him, fair play.
