In my first test of the season around “live shit football is better than shit football on the telly, I’m at Goodison tonight.
Probably my last trip to this famous old place.
As a side note - my ticket tonight was £15, concessions were £5. These weren’t the cheapest. Think £12 and £4 were cheapest for restricted views. These prices around a third of normal Everton matchday prices.
Which will yield an attendance of over 30,000 including a couple of thousand noisy Donny fans.
I’m hoping to see Everton Andy and also read the usual erudite commentary from our game.
Sky sports + is great due to the extra number of games on live TV and the extra funding it must bring in, but it does feel very amateur. You can hear the coaching staff more than the commentator! The awful atmosphere at home probably doesn’t help either though….
