Interview with Joss Labadie

He was and is a bellend, certainly falls into the category of possible worst signings made by the club. Every time he was available to play you watched him through gaps in your fingers that were clasped across your face knowing he was going to do something stupid at his earliest opportunity, total waste of money and space.

A couple of interesting parts I took from the interview…… he mentioned clubs chasing promotion don’t cut corners…… they have everything they need to get the job done hotels etc…. Last season I felt some of the longer journeys were some of our worst performances does this coincide with us not staying over night due to costs and cost cutting.

He certainly did have control over his injury situation for this particular injury because I remember his foolish tackle well . Mistimed completely and reckless as standard for him. Self creating .

Has to go down as one of the worst transfers the club have made in recent times, when you compare the wage he was on to what he achieved.

Are we saying that he set out to mistime it purposely so he could get injured?

No I am saying due to his characteristic mistimed , ill judged reckless challenge he caused his own injury . Unless he is seriously tapped in the head , it should never be his intention , but I don’t know how can go through his career thinking he he will go unscathed (either getting injured , or being carded ) continuing to tackle in his manner .

Labadie provided no goals, no assists absolutely nothing other than yellow and red cards plus antagonising the refs to generally give us nothing. Was there to be a leader for Matty Taylor and thus on a par with Fullerton and Taylors assistant who i cant even remember which says it all threw him under the bus. Kinsella was probably on half his wages and had horrific tackles on him and just got on with it.

Well in Bennett we will have a zero to a hero podcast next

Labadie was someone with a reputation as a no nonsense player which was perfect at Newport but unfortunately at Walsall he was very poor and a liability throughout his time with us.
Whether they were mistimed tackles or deliberate only he knows but I was glad he was moved on because he was a failure.
Interesting in the interview he addressed the issue and basically said that’s me and I’m not going to change.
He knew he was not staying so I wonder if he got himself sent off at Crewe as an act of defiance.
